Well stocked & good variety of food. Clean shelves & floors. I really like the deli counter & the ready to eat meals & sushi section. But the bakery section always has a fly or two buzzing around which is kinda annoying for a grocery. Still this HEB compared to others seems to be the most efficient for shopping for me - not too big, not too small. read more

We're headed to HEB! It's a silly song that's become legendary in my mind, thanks to Bob Snyder. Having worked in over 40 states, I can confidently say that HEB is without a doubt the best place to get groceries--no exaggeration. They excel in produce quality, customer service, special needs hiring, convenient locations, reasonable prices, and overall shopping experience. Countless amazing stories stem from both current and former employees, as well as their customers. I once found myself in a situation where I forgot to pay for something, only to return and try to rectify the mistake. I had to insistently plead with the smiling manager to accept my payment because I couldn't bear the thought of unintentionally taking something from a place I hold dear. It's moments like these that truly showcase the integrity and warmth of HEB. On another occasion, I had the pleasure of meeting Scott McClelland, their President. He left a lasting impression with his genuine demeanor. I even spotted him in the background of a newscast, tirelessly working during Hurricane Harvey. Scott wasn't there to promote, beg, or showcase his virtues; he was simply a hardworking individual, dedicated to his everyday job of feeding the people of Houston, and Texas as a whole. Scott was simply exercising the work ethic that is obvious among HEB employees. In my experience, individuals like Scott embody a level of character that surpasses any other representatives I've encountered in similar fields. I believe he just retired, and will be greatly missed, but I can't believe that HEB doesn't have 5-10 folks ready to take the helm--most likely at his direct behest. Thank you for your years of service, Scott, and thank you to everyone at HEB! YOU ALL FRICKIN' ROCK!!! read more

Do you love warm beer? Then THIS is the HEB for YOU! I don't. Generally, this is a well-run, well-stocked store. One of the better stores in town. Cashiers are mostly helpful and friendly. The office personnel are attentive to your problems or needs. Place is kept clean. They just really have problems making sure their beers are cold. read more

We just moved here from Arlington, Texas. We needed to restock our fridge and buy meat and cheese in addition to our other staples. The store is clean and well organized. The only drawback was we had to bag our own groceries. I guess we got spoiled in the metroplex, but when I spend $250 I expect to have my things bagged for me. read more

Sending out a huge thank you to the bakery department at this location! I am beyond satisfied with my baby shower cake y'all created! It was so delicious and moist! It was decorated exactly how I wanted it! You guys did such a beautiful job and I will definitely have my cakes made with y'all every time! The price for my cake was a steal... and once again I am just so glad i decided to go with yall! I've had cakes made from cake specialist and have been left so unhappy with their product, and prices. Prefer this H‑E‑B to the super store H‑E‑B . Everything I needed was there and the deli was well stocked and employees were helpful .

A big old mess! Still amidst renovations there are tons of refrigerated spaces empty, unused freezers, and completely moved aisles. This wouldn't be a problem, of course, if anyone would take the time to change the hanging aisle signs or make temporary ones along the way, but no one has, so walking straight to the "beer" aisle takes you to a half filled wine cooler and an aisle of items that are definitely not beer. We eventually found our other items and then wine (we cut our losses with the missing beer) a few aisles over but when we went to check out the cashier and bagger let every single bottle hit the lip at the end of the conveyor belt, each falling over upon impact. One, fine, you clearly forgot this happens to wine bottles if you let it go too far, but ALL OF THEM? Thanks. This is the closest H-E-B to my grandparents place but I'll definitely drive a little further to avoid this mess until they get their stuff together. read more

This is the best HEB in town. Always has fresh produce, plenty to pick from at the deli and seafood counters, and beautiful flowers in the floral department. Always clean and HEB partners are very helpful, especially in the pharmacy department. New self checkout stations were recently added which makes this location even better. read more

I use to work produce at this store when Joe Pena was the produce manager. What a creepy dude he was. Emilio, Renee, Juan, Joe and Johnny worked produce back in 91-95. Basically they were career produce clerks or soon to be incarcerated in Nieces county for being trash. read more

I love this H-E-B but my cashier today was so rude! From barely greeting us to griping at my child to hastily handing my bags to me with hardly a "thank you" she may be better suited for a different position with her lack of customer service. read more

First off I do commend HEB Co. for being the first to send mobile kitchens to areas affected by hurricane Harvey before any other group, company, or government agency did. They also re-opened their Corpus stores quickly after the storm. Was told by an employee they had measures in place to keep the frozen food protected during power outages. With that being said, I know i'm not the only one that's aggravated with the cashiers they hire at Corpus HEBs. Mostly high school kids or recent graduates & it shows. A lot are rude, snotty, too busy flirting with each other to pay attention, sloppy with bagging don't care if things get crushed or properly bagging raw foods. Need more supervision and/or training. This location consistently yanks products off the shelves that my family buys on a regular basis regardless if we complain to mgmt. or not. I buy the brands I do for my own reasons weather it's ingredients, quality, price, brand integrity, etc. They're usually promptly replaced with "HEB brand" of whatever the product was, trying to force people to buy their brand. There's a wider array of products on their website than what's actually available in the smaller Corpus stores. HEB brand donuts are usually fresh, light, & fluffy. Used to get HEB pan dulce regularly, one batch had a bad taste & every one since was the same so we just quit buying it. read more

Good when I need to go get groceries and it's down the street from where I live but it's a little pricey don't get me wrong but it's really good to shop I prefer HEB and Walmart on the gas and to get groceries. read more

Only HEB I will go to. Not just because it is close to my home, but for so many other reasons. I like that the parking lot is somewhat small, so I don't have to walk forever to get into the store. The produce section is always fresh! They sometimes do not have all the produce I am looking for, but that is okay I can find it at a different store. The employees there are so helpful and nice. Eager to help and make sure you find what you are looking for. There are always plenty of lines open so I never have to wait a long time to check out. There seems to be a larger selection of Organic, Gluten Free and All natural products here which is so amazing!!! It is also in a nice part of town so everyone that shops there are so nice and friendly. I always make a few new friends while I am there :) read more
