They feed people in need. I took them some cat food that my cat won't eat and They seem to have a good operation. They look well organized.

I have been there and also volunteer there. The place is always clean. We are greatful for all the donations that we receive. If not for the people who donate, we wouldn't be able to help the community. The money from the Thrift store helps to get more food to feed the people who are in need. I have been donating to H.E.L.P. for years. After I drop off my donations I usually browse a bit in the store and have been surprised at some of the things I have found. I have purchased several name brand items that looked like new. I donated a new (with tags on) jacket I had purchased at Cold Water Creek. I realized the color was not right for me, so I gave it away hoping someone would find it and love it. Every time I have been in there the volunteers have been very nice. Sorry to read that another reviewer had a bad experience, but don't let that keep you from trying it for yourself. read more

All the old lady volunteers who work there constantly bicker at each other in front of customers. It has been that way every time I have gone there to shop, but today was the last straw. I will not be returning to this store. The place is very small, so you can hear everything that is going on. I was looking around and I hear a lady in a very loud, stern, gruff voice say, "Excuse me! Lady! Can you get this hanger down? I can't reach!". Come to find out, the lady was an employee, and she was talking to me. Her name was Barbara, and she had decided to pick out a few blouses while on the job. She took the blouses to the register, and the two cashiers began to bicker back and forth about how one was folding the blouses too fast for the other one to take a look at "the whole thing". They gave Barbara the grand total of $12 and some odd cents, and she began to yell, "Twelve dollars? No way! It's $3 per bag! I saw the sign when I got here! Put everything back! I don't want it!." The cashiers were trying to talk to her, in loud voices, and when she walked off, they began arguing with one another..."What sign is she looking at" "There is no sign!" "She thinks she can get it for $3!" Barbara! What sign did you see?" and on and on. Barbara yelled, "I work my butt off around here, and see how you treat me?". All the women volunteers (employees) gathered around the register cackling about "the sign" and the "$3 per bag". I had had enough. I put down my stuff and began to walk out past a lady at the register who was trying to pay for a framed picture. One cashier loudly asked her coworker, other one, "What do you want ME to do?". The other one answered, "Just ring her up!". The lady who was purchasing the picture said, "You all need to settle down. I'm serious.". Another customer said, "That's right!". Three of us customers were so disgusted, we walked out the door. We all commented on how these ladies are always grumpy, gruff, and rude. One customer told others who were pulling up to the store not to go in because everyone is rude. I went to another thrift store down the road and had a peaceful time shopping. read more
