We had to spend time continuously reviewing the case. My wife's lawyer was playing games to extend the divorce proceedings, and cost me more money. The "great advice" he gave me was to leave my house, rent an apartment, and stop paying my mortgage. The mortgage on the house was in my name only. The ex wife had no obligation to pay it. If I took his advice I would have ruined my credit, and my kids would have been homeless and would have hated me. Near the end of the whole ordeal we were set to meet with a court appointed negotiator to finalize the details of the case. I contacted my ex-wife, her lawyer, and my lawyer, Michael Kuldiner, and told them what I would agree to before we went before the court. The day of the meeting, my wife's lawyer said she would agree to the parameters I had sent in the email. Michael had no idea why the opposing lawyer was agreeing to the parameters of the divorce. She chuckled when she told him that his client, me, had emailed all parties two (2) weeks ago with the list. It was the list of parameters I had given him to negotiate for over a year. The only thing that he was up to date on were the bills to pay him for his "services". I didn't hear from him until months later in 2022 . He totally forgot that I signed up with him . I should have ran fast at that point . I decided to continue on with him . I would later regret that decision. Mr Maizel continued not to show professionalism by not showing up to scheduled meetings, not returning calls/ emails . His lack of professionalism would eventually put my case in a position where I was short of loosing certain rights . He advised me to file an EEOC complaint . When the EEOC issued a right to sue . He dropped my case the same day I received the right to sue notice . Knowing , I only had 90 days to file a lawsuit and that no other lawyer would pick up a case at this late point . When I confronted Mr Maizel he became angry and started verbally attacking me . I reported this behavior to Mr. Weinberg a named partner at the firm which he did nothing. If you have any type of employment issue or any other legal matter please protect yourself and do not hire this firm . They have made me loose all rights to fight this case with their lack of professionalism .

I called this attorney on 11/6 regarding a case I had where I could get an Accelerated Rehab (which…read moreis essentially no record after doing certain things the court requires). Right away he said because you had this over 13 years ago they will probably not give it to you. The actual rule is, as long as there are no really bad circumstances, after 10 years you can get ARD again. He wanted me to quickly pay him and said maybe he could get my ARD but probably not. I quickly did not believe him and basically hung up the phone. I contacted another attorney (MUCH BETTER) who waived my arraignment and got me approved for the ARD program within a day. She just sent the email over this morning. The only reason I am giving the "Law" offices of Basil and Beck even 2 stars is because he did reply before anyone else I contacted. Although, that was probably just so he could quickly try to fool a customer into paying him. So I respect the hustle even though you can tell his is just not professional. Also, the attorney that I did hire took $500 less and got done the job in record time. Do not hire this person, there are way more honest people out there. I do not normally write reviews but this person is just not trustworthy.
