We put 666 Rhode Island Ave NE in the gps and that was what got us closest, and then we went up the curving drive to the parking lot for Big Lots and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. But with about 8+ bowls of ramen and drinks- its not so bad. The suggestion I would offer is to have some kind of organized way for people to queue. It was very confusing which way and where we were supposed to be in line. We would queue, but then others would just walk up and grab a bowl. It was chaos- but we all got our food. Just wish there was some kind of organization to this event- I never knew if I was in a line or stuck behind people just eating. Everyone left with a gift from the sponsors- Sun-J marinade and sauce. What I do regret is having a doctor's appointment the next day and having to explain the ABNORMALLY high blood pressure reading for someone who has low blood pressure. Doctor: That's a high reading for you.Do you feel dizzy, have any fainting spells? Me: I ate about six bowls of Ramen yesterday. Doctor: Yeah, well that would do it. Here are some things you should know about Ramen World before going. Eating over one bowl of Ramen is tremendously hard. I discovered ramen is not exactly sampling food. It's incredibly filling and heavy. Plan accordingly. Justin C. did a great job of explaining how the event was organized and highlighting the food. It was disappointing that there weren't clear signs of where each vendor was and what exactly they were serving. With regard to food, I would like to add that the strongest offering were from Thip Khao, they had long wide noodles (like chow fun) in their take on Khao Soi and I was pleasantly surprised by Chalin's bowls of tantan-men ramen, very Thai in flavor, spicy with a hint of peanuts. Both inspired me to visit their respective restaurants in the near future. Chaplin's also offered a fried pork dumpling, injected with a mixture of soy, Sriracha, and rye whiskey. It was...kinda gross actually. Dolcezza has me dreaming of their black sesame ice cream, and SnoCream had the cutest macarons in the shape of pandas, bears and frogs. We offered unlimited drinks but there was only so much Kirin one can drink. As Justin noted, the food ran out well before closing time. Not only did the food run out so did utensils and disposable plate wear. Donburi began serving on plastic plate lids. Classy move. I am not sure if I would attend this event in the future, given the poor planning and that ramen is not something I could eat in mass quantities, but I did have a blast while I was here. The young man at the counter is so friendly and helpful. I had the chicken souvlaki and the French dip as well as the house salad as a side salad. We took a food tour for Leesburg VA in early March. It has…read morebeen 2+ months but to this day, I am still a bit sour about the tour guide that we had, Jen (she was Half-Asian). My girl friends and I signed up for this food tour to eat at food restaurants and have fun amongst each otherm the tour guide treated us like children, and acted like she was a historical teacher the whole time. We were not overly disruptive and just wanted to each other's company while having good food. We signed up for a "FOOD" tour but instead Jen instead that it was also a historical tour and made us very uncomfortable by over-lectueinf and quizzing us about historical facts about Leesburg, slavery and Civil War. At one point, between the third and fourth food tour stop, she made us take a huge detour around the town so she could over explain about histories behind slavery trading in Leesburg. At once point we got really bored and tired of being treated like children (we are all professional women over 30+ years old), and started laughing behind a bit in the street to chat. She had a full to turn to one of my friends and say 'plesee tell your friends to stop talking and pay attention to what I'm saying about these important events.' She over-shared that she leads school tours in DC during g other parts of the year and maybe she confused us with the school-aged children. But we did not enjoy our experience with her. I contemplated not sharing this awhile because I really think hard about leaving a negative review, but even two months later, her condescending attitude and the way we were treated as a group really stings us. I hope this type of tour guide can be curtailed and mapped for a "food" tour experience they advertised and we paid for instead of historical lectures. The tour guide needs to be re-educater.

Elizabeth was our tour guide and she was VERY knowledgeable about Georgetown history. The day was SUPER hot, and does include a lot of walking, so make sure you wear your best, comfy sneakers. Where we stopped: -Stachowskis -City Sliders -Chaia -Dog Tag Cafe At each location you get a good serving of one of the places best dish. Overall, great experience! Would recommend this to anyone traveling to DC for a weekend and want to get some steps in while chowing down on some great dishes in the area.
