All the food you get on the Ethiopian tour!!! You'll be stuffed!

Ethiopian Food Tour (U St. Area) - Excellent Tour! 3 food stops starting with a traditional Ethiopian Breakfast, a full entree, and more entree and dessert! We went to: 1) Habesha Market & Carry Out - learned about the different spices used in Ethiopian cooking. Had Foul, barley rice dish, and bread. Almost made me full already! Very yummy! 2) Chercher Ethiopian Restaurant & Mart - They are known for their tibs and that is exactly what we got. If you look at the pictures, we got an entire plate of food to share. It was more than enough for all of us even if it was just this one meal. I also tried their honey wine which was sweet but still not to my non-alcoholic taste. The side dishes that we got were all delicious and it was a great mixture of spicy and not. The place was small and intimate and we really got to chat with each other and our tour guide. 3) Dukem Ethiopian Restaurant - came here for their chicken dish and got more stuffed. Then finished off with a Tiramisu dessert which was the perfect ending to this food experience. I appreciated that since this was more of a unique tour that the group was quite small (only 6 of us + tour guide) so we all got to talk to each other and listen to the tour guide. We had plenty to eat as well. We were well stuffed by the end and I did not need to eat until the next day. The reason I took away 1 star is because this tour was more like someone pointed out 3 good places to eat and took us there rather than a whole Historical Food Tour experience. Not much history was discussed and as we were walking, it was simply to get to one destination to another - the route wasn't purposeful to historical matter. Our tour guide was late and was very casual - he didn't talk to us at all until we sat down at places to eat. I'm use to the tour guide talking as we walk and explaining things. It was fun to walk and eat but for the price, I can eat the same amount of food for 1/3 of the cost. Tip: Our tour guide said the best tour is the Baltimore Italian Tour and you get a lot of pasta and you get to go to the founding place of the Tiramisu! =) I might take a crack at that! *See pics for amount of food!*

Just took the Food tour in Old Town Alexandria and we weren't disappointed. Our guide, Lynn, did an amazing job of mixing history, walking and eating and gave us an excellent experience. Visited 4 different eating establishments and was more than impressed with the amount of food there was. So much so that we ended up taking dessert to go as we had no more room to eat. Highly recommend this. Great idea for a date or for gift giving. Looking forward to to trying one of their other tours soon.

We have taken this tour twice. Both tours were the Old Town Alexandria tours. The first time the tour was amazing (smaller group), the second time it was pretty good. The tour guide was the same and he is very nice. The first time he was more upbeat and informative, the second time he was a little quiet (perhaps a bad day). The second time we went we took family that was out of town. They said they had a really good time. During the tours we stopped at 3 restaurants and 1 dessert place. The portions were large and filling and it's a great was to learn about some of the history in Alexandria, VA.

We did the Leesburg food tour. Jennifer was an excellent guide. Lots of history there. Cute downtown. Free parking garage on weekends. Highly recommend. Pics attached.

When I visit other cities I search for food tours before arriving. DC Metro Food Tours offered a few of them and I'm so happy with our choice: Georgetown Gastronomical Food Tour. The whole tour was wonderful. Sarah was our guide and she did a great job. She was informative, but not boring (and she was always smiling). The food was outstanding. Everything was delicious and unique. The food portions are well worth the cost of the tour. Don't hesitate to take this tour. Just don't eat before you start the tour and expect to be stuffed. I hope to attend another the next time I go to DC.

Took the Georgetown Food Tour today with our guide, Robert. It was wonderful! We tried four restaurants and walked all around Georgetown and the neighborhood. Robert was full of knowledge and very pleasant. Definitely an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon. Highly recommend it as a way to tour the area!

I went on the Georgetown tasting tour. It was delicious. I got to explore parts of Georgetown I haven't been to. I didn't realize how big the area was. I basically thought it was just M street. We ate Mexican, Korean, and French food. My favorite was the Korea beef and rice bowl. So flavorful. I would recommend this tour to both tourists or locals.

Booking was super easy and once that was done, I received regular emails from Vino 301 and texts until the day of the tour. We were picked up this past Saturday (4/20) at the appointed location and time. We boarded a very well appointed van with about 4 rows of seats that accommodated us all. I felt very safe on the rides to and from the wineries. Our host and driver were super friendly and treated us like royalty. Prior to arriving at each venue, we were provided some background and things we should know in advance. She more or less herded us from place to place, which was actually quite comforting. I felt very well taken care of AND seen as I was the only one on the tour not drinking, but I was provided water and other beverages over the course of the day. Oh, and the lunch we received was AMAZING. So much food! I had the roast beef BLT, which came with a bag of chips, pasta salad, and a dessert. Definitely recommend!

The company promised us a very interesting journey and I can tell you they 100% delivered! Our guide, Paul, was not only an extremely knowledgeable about Virginia history, but he's also a sommelier and thus was very well-versed in the wines. Paul showed up with a brand new, very comfortable sprinter van, and offered cold beverages for our trip to and from Middleburg. The tour stopped at two beautiful, well run, wineries for tastings and a third tasting stop which I will not reveal, but it was very fun! I can't recommend this tour enough, as it's truly a first class experience. I would (and very likely will) go again soon. Thanks for making this experience an awesome one for my family and I, Paul!

We had a blast! Paul took us to two wineries and one meadery. Based on a request I made prior to the day trip, Paul talked about the towns we were driving through and gave us interesting background on each winery prior to our arrival. The wine and food was delicious and the scenery was beautiful. The hosts/staff at each site were terrific. Without exaggeration, we laughed throughout the day, had so much fun, and felt thoroughly at ease because we didn't need to worry about driving. We could just sit back and enjoy the day, and we did just that. My book club is going to spend a day with Vino Virginia and I can't wait. Whether you go with your spouse, significant other, friends and/or family, you'll enjoy the experience, and the price is very reasonable. If you have specific requests, let Paul know in advance of your trip. Don't hesitate to see Virginia wineries with Vino Virginia.
