Lots for the big kids to do as well as the littles. They have a saucer swing here, in addition to a few traditional ones. A roller slide sits towards the back of the park. A few porta-potties are within the tree line. This park/playground is super convenient to bring the kiddos for a break, when attending downtown park strip events.

The city of ANCHORAGE continues to make.excuses for why services continue to retract, but we all know why. Politicians lining their pockets with tax monies instead of doing what they were hired to do. The only good thing about this location is it is attached to the pedestrian trail system.

I remember swimming in it and came outa the water and it was the first time I've seen leaches stuck to my legs. Of course my grandparents thought this was so funny back then. There is lots of signage to direct you. There is a large enough space to store your shoes (don't forget socks). Lots of trash receptacles around. Clean bathrooms with infant changing stations near. The playground is large, clean, and has something for most kids. I'd say the bulk of the structure is geared towards older kids (and/or climbers). See the Muni website for playground hours. We held our son's birthday party in their Community Room with access to the ice rink during open…read moreskate last year and the service was splendid. We had the option to rent the large open fields on the other side of the facility as well but chose to just rent during the open skate times. The kids were able to go on & off the ice for several hours and afterward they all enjoyed drinks, pizza, cake, and ice cream that we brought with us. The small kitchen included a sink for cleaning and full refrigerator for storing cold items. The tables and chairs were set up in rows sufficient for the group and the waste cans was provided so we were able to clean up afterward leaving the room neat and ready for their next group. We would definitely do it again!
