I don't understand how people keep coming back to this place. It's the most disgusting place on earth. I understand it's the only fun water park place. If you are a good parent, you won't take your child to this environment which is very unsanitary and full of cockroaches. Imagine just eating food here; it's more dangerous than eating food around here, especially how they prepare it. I'm just surprised that food inspectors or pest control hasn't closed this place down yet. It should have been closed a long time ago. I can not believe this place is still open. It is always dirty and everywhere you look the beams are rusty and falling apart. There are leaks all over and roaches everywhere. I feel like taking a shower after using the changing room. The staff is also super rude. Have witnessed them yelling at the elderly ladies that do water aerobics several times. When suggesting that yelling at adults might not be the most effective form of communication, we were told by staff we were lucky they even let us use the facilities. Man. I don't want to throw this place entirely under the bus but wow, do NOT come here. I regretfully did not check the reviews prior to bringing our kids here and I'm hoping I can help someone not make the same mistake I did. This place has gone downhill with zero upgrades or upkeep within the last 15 years. If we hadn't promised our kids an Anchorage trip to come here we probably would have turned around and walked out, the empty parking lot should have been our first sign. But against our better judgment we went with it and I'm cringing at the thought that we even came here and let our kids swim here. Right when you walk in, the extreme scent of chlorine blasts you. I smelt chlorine for literally days after we came here. It was oddly dark in there, half the lights weren't on for some reason? Visible mold on the ceiling and walls, rust on the stairs, chipped paint everywhere. The dressing rooms were a nightmare. I have such great memories of when this place was new and clean, they could really do well if they just bit the bullet and made the upgrades they desperately need. So I took my 20, 14 and 2 year old here at opening on a Wednesday. Entry was smooth and the lady was friendly. We found a nice spot for our stuff and right away started have the best time at the water park. Everyone had fun and there was no complaints about the facilities. However we went to get a pizza, nachos and pretzels but didn't end up buying any of them. There were 3 or 4 teen girls in the back making pizza and food. Hair down to their butt or long besides with not even a ponytail let alone a hair net. Thy also did not seem very friendly, more like a why are u here attitude. Ok, being new to Anchorage there were many mixed reviews before we even stepped foot in the place. Many faces were made when we would ask, and from people who had never stepped foot in the establishment. First, let me say the most important thing...the water is clean, the slides are clean, and the tubes and life vests are clean. None of these items smelled, had a strange film, water and all the walkways felt like a water park. Next, being that it is indoors, a few things work against us...moisture in restrooms And inside gives it a mustyness and it's also a bit humid. Unlike outdoors where you have the sun to heat and evaporate moisture and to ward off Pockets of mildew in corners of Bathrooms And doors (especially wooden doors). The changing room is not the worst I've seen and it's not the best. Just prepare yourself that it's not a hotel or hospital bathroom. There are a few cracks in the walls, the epoxy flooring is chipping in random Places (nothing that will Injure you), and the changing rooms are small and the floors are wet in the bathroom. The upstairs restaurant is ok. Prices are moderate, they have Pepsi products, basic concession style food (I wouldn't eat here), and they have Dippin Dots which is what my daughter had. She loves Dippin Dots! So, it's not the Great Wolf Lodge, but you know what? It's also not priced like a Great Wolf Lodge waterpark...for $19.99 my daughter had fun, rode slides, did the lazy river numerous times, played on the pirate castle, and ate some delicious ice cream And we made happy memories. It is what it is...a fun, moderate priced day of fun and in my daughter's eyes a win for Mommy! Don't come in with high expectations, just come in a relax and go With the flow. read more

This place was a disaster. We walked in and it was so run down and dirty. The lifeguards were rude and we left shortly after arriving. Everything was "out of order". The hot tub wasn't hot, there was only 1 major water slide active. The lifeguard at the bottom of the pool said he would catch my son coming down the slide when he was 10 feet away from the slide and preoccupied. We went to H2Ooasis on Saturday... the kids had a blast... but sadly it'll be the last time that we go unless they do something drastic about the cleanliness of the place and fix the many things that need fixed. It has gotten to a point where it is unhygienic even walking around the place & I would not doubt that mold was present in the standing water on the floors & stairs. I just know they had the best years when they first open. Sad to say this isn't it at all anymore. Rust, roach, dust and mold infested. Everything is just unsanitary and unsafe for bare feet. (Ringworm, athletes foot, tetanus??!?). My girlfriends family got rashes/hives including herself. Half of the equipment doesn't work, a lot of areas blocked off. Half of the staff looks to be young teens running the place. Most of the lifeguards were young and talking to friends and or on phone instead of watching over the kids. My 7 year old had a birthday party to go to today, I haven't been here in years and was quite disappointed and disgusted at how run down it is now. To get my two boys in it cost $45 which seems like way too much. I wouldn't mind the price if the place was maintained better. I understand the humidity causes a lot of problems, but that's part of owning a water park. I saw at 3 broken windows, paint is peeling, bolts and metal are severely rusted, furnishings are run down and nasty looking and their was a lot of junk that maybe once was used but now should be removed to clean the place up. Outdated indoor waterpark! The paint on the walls and floors are chipping away. The showers are a bit disgusting. They need to really install more lights seems so gloomy inside. They have tables and chairs for birthday parties, but the chairs have moldy stuff on it. The pizza wasn't too bad though and both the front desk and snack bar staff were all friendly. The noise level indoor is unbearable between water splashes and children screaming - steeping out for a bit helps. They have several slides for all ages, main swimming area, and a lazy river. If the owner would shut down this place for a month for major renovation, I think they would attract more business. read more

This is the 2nd time I have been in this water park, the 1st being when it was newly opened. I must say, what a disappointment this park is now. It looks and feels very dirty. I know a lot of it is because of the moisture, dingy looking walls, and lackluster lighting. But even the stairs leading up to the table area were dirty and we arrived shortly after opening hours. Lack of parking is a total turn-off. Can't park on the street with all the snow taking over the street, and parking behind the building just to walk around to the front of the building through the street, with little kids, is outrageous. Please do not take your children or family here. From someone who use to work there it was the worst job I ever had. Let me explain. The place is disgusting firstly the water is stagnant which means it probably wasn't being cleaned properly. I worked up in the kitchen there was a decayed I scooped up and threw into the trash on my first day, it must have been there for years. Half of the attractions are closed down like the hot tubs and the slides constantly need to be repaired. One time this poor women came up to me and complained how there was not 2 not 4 but 6 dead cockroaches in the lazy river alone. There was always little mice running around and it's a breeding zone for bugs because owner never bothered to get the broken windows fixed. I feel bad for the lifeguards they were nice people and it was sad for them seeing a place that they loved when they were kids turn to shit. So I went to change the soda syrup bags and there was hundreds of beatles crawling all over those boxes. Not to mention the place is severely understaffed about 2 weeks into working there all my coworkers left and quit. For around a month or so I was the only worker there with little help from time to time. When I tired making the pizza better my manager wanted to fire me. "I've been making pizza like this for 20 years" he said when realistically he's been sitting in a chair watching people make pizza for that long. I remember taking my oldest here when they first opened. It was awesome! Fast forward 19 yrs, this establishment has gone way down hill. Today we went for a birthday party. I was absolutely filthy, wet trash all over the floors upstairs/downstairs & bathrooms. The stairs were so grimy it was a slip hazard. The upstair floors were like walking in muddy puddles. The ladies bathrooms were disgusting. The hot tub temperature was not reading high, it was chilly clearly not working properly. And again like the last time we came at the beginning of the year the wave pool was broken. Also it was clear they are short on lifeguards because a few people in the lifeguard station were fully dressed I'm talking wearing a coat, no lifeguard apparel and no lifeguard safety aids/floats. This is a great escape, perfect for a rainy day or a snowy day. The water slides are a lot of fun. The green and orange one rotate use but the big water slider roller coaster is always on. The lazy river is a fun way around the park. Really enjoyed the ability to rent a Cabana. Perfect location and a nice place to relax and watch kids. The birthday area is a great value. An indoor waterpark in the last frontier! The waterpark area includes two large slides entering the pool, including one that winds around the entire upper area of the facility. There is a standard pool area, a wave-machine pool, and a kiddy area pool which has several different water features such as spray toys, etc. There are two fairly large hot tubs located on each side of the swimming pool areas. Around the entire waterpark facility is what is known as the "Lazy River" where people float through the facility on large intertubes. The big PROS that I would mention are: (1) The waterpark is very well staffed with lifeguards. They do a remarkable job of keeping an eye on everyone; even during the most crowded periods. (2) The waterpark opens 3 mornings a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) for "riverwalk excercise". Between the hours of 7am and 10am, you can use the Lazy River for either very mild exercise by walking the river with the current, or can get more of a workout by walking against the current. The staff also allows kickboards and other small water devices to be used. Children (with parents/guardians) are also welcome during the riverwalk days. The shower area is open and can be used without additional charge. For each day (3 hours) the cost for the riverwalk excercise is $6 per person which I feel is a good deal. It is also less expensive if a punch-card is purchased. (3) The waterpark provides areas for birthday party rentals, plenty of areas to just kick back, a small snack bar area in the upper balcony, an arcade, and a tanning center. My only cons would be that the chlorine smell can be heavy at the upper balcony area. This isn't cool if you're holding a birthday party up there. They have recently installed new fans, so hopefully they're working on resolving the problem. In the summer, that upper level also gets downright hot. (eat your ice cream before it melts) ;0) Also, the waterpark daily pass (this is different than the morning riverwalk) is not exactly cheap. Look for discount passes in local flyers as they are offered, as well as the packages that Costco carries. All in all, I feel that Anchorage is very fortunate to have an indoor waterpark that is open year-round in all weather conditions! While the park is not small, it would be nice in the future if they were able to expand to make it slightly larger to continue and provide splashy, good fun! read more

What a disappointment. When this place opened it was staffed well, clean and operational. We went there yesterday, it was so so staffed, dirty and barely operational. Staff-looks bored to death, and not enough at the wave pool ONE lifeguard at the wave pool is not enough for all those kids! Water- mirky! Yuck Slides-there doesn't seem to be enough tubes for the big slide, master blaster. You have to wait in a huge line for the 8 tubes they have. Takes about 20 minutes in line to wait for a tube. Lazy river- Not enough tubes, maybe 5 tubes available! Sad Pirate ship-barely operational! The canons that used to be around it, are gone. Lighting- barely any lighting. The place is dark. Equipment- most of the equipment is rusted and nasty. I sat in the hot tub and was disgusted at the amount of rust in the place. Even the palm trees are dirty. Bathrooms- not enough drainage. At least an inch of water in the changing rooms. Enough so everyone has to stand on the bench to get dressed! All in all this place has been neglected. Too bad, it was once "the" place to go. The elevator floor feels like you are going to fall through. The miniature golf building is just as bad, nobody at counter when came in,we got our own clubs and balls and had done 3-4 holes before someone showed up and charged us an outrageous price I wouldn't have paid if I knew before we started! I was very reluctant to go based on reviews. I haven't been for about a decade and it was showing its age then! The water was clean and warm, the slides and play structures were clean, didn't see a single bug, and people were friendly. The restrooms and changing rooms were filthy, the floors between pools and attractions had bits of trash including used bandaids and food here and there, SO MUCH RUST (make sure your tetanus shot is current!), a big slide was not open, the wave pool never waved, and lifeguards we're constantly on their phones! My kids still had a blast! I might maybe go in the future if restrooms and changing rooms were clean. read more

I would highly recommend everyone boycott this place until they make serious changes and upgrades!!!!! We went today, I was really looking forward to surprising my kids with a day of fun, but sadly no. After paying over $100 to get in we were immediately grossed out by the sad and aging facility. You can tell they have not put any $$ back into it. That wasn't even the biggest problem. We showed up at 11 when they opened. I brought my three kids- ages 11, 14, and 17. The people at the front desk were quite rude. I was amazed that they charged for everything- there is even a fee to rent towels! Add to this that they accept cash only, and we had a couple nasty surprises right off the bat. Since I hadn't brought enough cash for myself to join in, I went to observe from the upper balcony. I was impressed by the number of lifeguards. However, on my way up the stairs I encountered crumbling steps, cracked paint, and generally dirty conditions. Despite my misgivings after the condition of the stairs, I used the restroom downstairs. Urine was on the floor and toilet. That was bad enough but there was a stench in there that just has no business being anywhere but in an outhouse. My kids lasted about an hour before they came and told me they were bored and would rather go back to the hotel pool. My oldest daughter said she had used the upstairs restroom and wanted to leave fast before she needed to use one again because it was "gross". The general consensus was that it was severely overpriced and under maintained. Younger kids would probably like it if their parents are willing to pay the price. Update - 2nd visit was fun, and the majority of the facility was clean, but there was a roach in the pool. Gross. I was hesitant due to past reviews saying this place was super dirty, with cockroaches etc, but someone told me they closed down for awhile to address those issues so we decided to give it a try. We went for Toddler Time and were pleasantly surprised by the facility. It's not the most updated place you've ever seen but I definitely wouldn't call it dirty. Some of the flooring in the changing rooms etc is a bit worn but everything is pretty clean in general. It's an indoor water park so you have to expect a little humidity, iron buildup, and worn flooring in the areas that constantly get wet. The water was super clean and clear, and our kids had a blast. My only minor complaints would be that the only showers are community type showers so don't expect to go in and get a full shower unless you're cool with everyone seeing you, and there aren't really floaty toys readilylike are advertised on the website (but the nice lady at the front desk let us borrow some). Also the lifeguard on duty was meandering around staring at his phone most of the time, and that could be better. All in all 7/10 would go again. read more

It is expensive, showing its age, and they can't keep all the attractions up and running. On the plus side, they are friendly and have life guards everywhere needed to provide a safe experience for everyone. Their cafe offers a reasonable priced and tasty menu of items. That said, our three grandkids, that have visited many water parks, (age 13, 10, and 9) and I had a blast and they proclaimed it one the best days of the summer.
