Por of coffee split in two

I came to Haas&Haas for breakfast with my boyfriend around 10:30AM on a Saturday. We wanted to sit outside in the section facing the cathedral and at this time there were plenty of seats available with zero wait time, although it got a lot busier by the time we left closer to noon. This cute cafe has seating available outdoors in the square but also a really cute half indoor/half outdoor garden like area where they also have lots of seating inside. Service was amazing, our waiter was very nice and did not rush us at all. For food we got some regular scrambled eggs and some with ham. The eggs were very light and fluffy. They came with a side of toast with butter for which we got whole grain and that was also very good, perfectly toasted and with a nice rustic flavor. The ham in my boyfriend's dish was delicious! Nice savory and juicy addition to pair with your eggs if you want extra protein. Felt very lean too. We got some coffee which was very flavorful but smooth at the same time. We finished our meal by splitting an Apple strudel which was divine--super flaky, with a nice crisp but moist, cinnamon-y filling-- and this flourless chocolate hazelnut cake which was similar in texture to banana bread but tasted like Nutella, it was also amazing. There are bathrooms available in the back which are very clean as well for customers! Overall really loved my experience here and I definitely would recommend for anyone looking for some good food with a very nice view of the back of the cathedral in Stephansplatz and a relaxed ambiance.

Went here on the recommendation of a local and had a delicious and filling breakfast. The tea selection was vast and the Viennese black tea blend was delicious. I love that they steep the tea for you for the correct amount of time based on the blend, so you're not guessing at how long to do this. The attached shop was also fantastic. I ended up getting a lot of holiday gifts from there and loved the large selection. Honestly everything in there looked amazing!

I thought this place was nice, but not spectacular. I got the salmon avocado toast and the sausage. Everything was done well. Prices were reasonable. Next time I am going to sate my curiosity and get the Chinese dumpling

One day I googled best breakfast places in Vienna and Haas und Haas showed up. I read how this restaurant has over 30 breakfast variations -- all unique and international. Um, YES. Got to go here! Since that day, I've been here many times, brought family and friends, and tried many of their breakfasts. Keep in mind their portion sizes are not American portion-sizes! But perhaps the coffee or tea that is included with your meal may be satiating for you. They also offer a nice selection of vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy free breakfasts. Their hot chocolate is also pretty awesome -- thick like pudding and delicious. Haas und Haas is an elegant, fancy, bright and stylish place that always so clean and makes me feel like I'm under-dressed. The servers are usually very pleasant and speak English well, considering that this cafe-restaurant is right behind the internationally famous Stephansdom, a cathedral in the center of Vienna. On a cold summer morning, my family and I sat outside in their garden and our waitress offered my father, who was dressed too light for the weather, a thick blanket to wrap himself in while he ate his meal. I was very touched by her consideration for him, and it was really nice to see my father warm and happy. Not only do I find it a nice place to grab some breakfast, but it's also a cool spot to have a business meeting or coffee/tea. Since this place is popular I do suggest you make reservations, or take a risk and see if you can get a seat. My recent time here I ordered their English tea and scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam, which was charming and enjoyable to consume, however, I probably could have eaten four of them :) Tea time at Haas und Haaus is Monday through Friday from 3pm on and is offered in their tea room, providing one meal like ''The Traditional Afternoon Tea" which is served on a tea stand made out of silver, consisting of finger sandwiches, Petit fours and scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. Teas offered are Chinese Yunnan, Ceylon or Highland Toffee. Kind of a nice feature if you're a big tea fan. Also, if you enjoyed your tea at H&H and want more, check out their tea shop next door, where inside is a lovely display of exotic and international teas, gifts, chocolates and other little fancy things -- another place I suggest to visit during your time.

Tea Shop connected to the Teehaus!

Located right near St. Stephen's Cathedral in Stephensplatz! Also near Mozart Haus. My friend and I planned on meeting here and having a drink, but ultimately decided to go elsewhere. She had found this location when she searched up tea places. Looked to be popular as well. Place is cute though! Two different entrances. One is for the tea shop, where they sell an assortment of teas and chocolates. Other is the actual entrance for the teehaus, though you can enter it through the tea shop as well. They have an English menu option since it is in a more touristy spot, so no worries if you don't speak Deutsch.

They have a very interesting store front, with a vast assortment of dried teas, accompanied by ornaments and tchotchkes in the windows. Come to find out, Jäger Tee is Vienna's oldest tea shop (150 years!), and a very classy place. Its staff know tea inside and out, if that's possible, and can answer any question you could possibly have about their products, or tea in general. The shop has actually been in the family since its creation, which is pretty cool. The place itself is cozy and quaint, and a site to be appreciated in and of itself. There is even a charming, albeit small, tea room in the back of the shop. Not only will you be hard-pressed to find a place with a better tea selection in Vienna, but this place also sells some AMAZING shortbread cookies that are also made with tea! And this summer they had an iced matcha tea (green tea), that was liked by pretty much everyone at the Elite event (even people who normally don't like matcha tea, green tea in general, or iced tea!) Finally, while it might seem a bit pricey, for the quality of the products and given the fact that you probably can't find most of the teas at other shops in Vienna, the prices seem completely reasonable, particularly given the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff. I'll definitely return to Jäger Tee.

The building is very elegant and classical, really enjoyed the atmosphere as walking in, we sat down at a corner next to the window and could not wait to try out the coffee and pastries here. We got Cafe Central Kafee and Maria Therasia for coffee and shared one Viennese Apple Strudel. The coffee is so smooth and with the added liquor, the fragrance is amazing!!! No question, this is the BEST Apple strudel I've tasted, crunchy texture for the outside crust and the filling is full of fruity flavors. We spent about a bit more than an hour there and that was the most relaxing, appreciating and beautiful moment among this Europe trip.

Well known for being a beautiful and historic cafe established 1876 frequented by the likes of famous names like Trotsky and Freud, this traditional Viennese coffeehouse and cafe is a popular tourist destination. Having walked by around 7:30pm the prior evening and seeing a line of about 15 people outside, the next morning arriving around 9am the line was about 15 minutes without reservations. Upon entering the inside is beautiful, cavernous domed ceilings, chandeliers and a very classic bistro vibe. Enough seating for probably 150 customers, quite large inside, and about two-thirds full. That's when I realized the line outside was more for show, which at some places I get because staffing might be hard and they want to ramp up the pacing between breakfast and lunch services. In a place like this it seems more like a marketing technique to create hype, which kinda annoyed me--it's not respectful of customers' time. It took a while maybe 10 minutes for a staff member to pass menus, then another 10 minutes for him to come back and check in. What I'll say is he was swift to answer our questions and knew the menu well. In general service felt lacking though, after eating it took quite a long time to get our server's attention again to get the check. For breakfast I was a little surprised by the prices for the food offered, on the high side. While the vegan spreads were very good, from the menu it wasn't clear that it was actually vegan cream cheese that was the base of the spreads. Unfortunately the rest of the food was meh, €14.50 for a small croissant (not especially good), a plain roll, a boiled egg and latte, with a pat of butter and jam. Would I come back? Maybe to try a couple of their baked pastries and dessert, but not for breakfast. For more info: https://cafecentral.wien/en/
