I have found some absolutely wonderful finds at this Habitat. The volunteers are always super kind and pleasant, and the space is clean and organized. As always, the quality and variety of the items is based SOLELY on what people donate, so it's really a toss up whether you'll find something absolutely amazing or not. I rarely ever complain about "thrift" store prices but wow... Everything in this place is so outrageously priced, it's insane. A simple electric mixer (Walmart brand) was priced at $35. I would get the same exact thing for maybe $15. Everything is priced so unrealistically high, it's a wonder how they manage to stay in business in this brand new building. Out of curiosity, i checked eBay and Amazon for prices on similar items and found that basically everything I looked at was available online for at least 30% lower prices. There's one lady (whom I believe is a manger) with such a snotty attitude towards the customers. I asked to see a camera lens in a case and her response was "When I get there, I'll open it, you need to wait", meanwhile she was doing literally nothing but reading a magazine at the front desk. I waited for well over 5 minutes before I just left. The whole store is so poorly run and overpriced. I would never buy ANYTHING from this store, regardless of the "charitable" purpose behind it. read more

the habitat for humanity in greenville nc. it is a joke it's like buying from a pawn shop the prices are out of this world high!! and they told us that they don't negotiate at all on the price!!! they might get retail for used banged up furniture but it won't be from me!!!! if your smart it won't be from you either!!! check other thrift stores in the greenville area they have better prices by far!!! read more

Well, I entered Habitat with expectations of greatness due to so many other wonderful experiences at other habitats that I have visited in the past both NC and VA....but left feeling disappointed. It was clean, I will give them kudos for that...but it was sparse on options, prices were way too high for the not so high quality items they were selling, and overall there just was little "treasure hunting" fun to be found here due to such a lack of options. There is definitely a vast amount of room to house a large amount of goodies...but no goodies to be had on the day we hopped by! Maybe we just hit it on a bad day or week for that matter?! Hoping more people will decide to donate to this great non-profit agency that builds homes for those in need so they have more items on the floor to sell since they truly do have a LARGE amount of space to work with, and that those pricing the items in this particular store might begin pricing things a little more reasonably and competitively compared to other local thrift stores that are selling the same type items at a lower price. read more

They are so high, why would a soda cost you 1.25 when wal-mart, piggly wiggly drinks are .50 to . 75, I notice every since Sherry left the new manager just increases items donated, some are so high you make better time to go to the regular stores. It was better until your new mgr. arrived , we just stopped going . I give you one star. read more

It's kind of hard to criticize a bunch of volunteers, but . . . . This place is infuriating. Called and asked about mattress/springs pickup. The person said yes, and we scheduled the pickup. When the guys arrived they declined to take either, a small 10 sq in stain on mattress, and about 6 sq in area where cat scratched bottom of springs. The pick up guys told me I should have been cautioned on stains or tears, and they have heard the person writing up the tickets routinely did not ask. Obviously, if I had been asked it would have done no good to lie about anything, since the pickup guys would have seen it. The two pickup guys were nice and pleasant. OBTW, the pickup was the same day the city collects bulk items, so I missed that. Now, I get to have mattress and springs on my front porch for a week. Yee - Haw. read more

Woman at front desk is terrible. Completely ignored me when I was asking questions. Was very rude with my disabled mother when she asked if there was a bathroom. When another woman asked to go to the restroom, she opened the door with no problem. I've been there multiple times and she acts the same with me and other customers. I have put in multiple complaints and she is still there. Worst. Would not recommend it. read more
