Fluid level was fine so they did some on-line research to avoid having to do a complete transmission analysis and gave us some very good suggestions. We tried those for the rest of our trip and the light never came on again. Very nice, respectful and the best was - NO charge. They said no charge as all they "really" did was check the fluid level. Richie's refused to service us because we are roadtripping with our dog. That's fine and company policy is company policy. However, after talking to AAA again and informing them Richie's was refusing service, AAA messed up and routed us BACK to Richie's. Again, AAA's fault but we as customers have NO control over AAA. We tried to get a different company. When Richie's call us back, the towing person said they WOULD take us WITH the dog! Not a problem! We were excited-- already having waiting on the side of the road for 2 hour that finally someone would be coming to get us. Then, someone else from Richie's called us immediately after (the person from the beginning) to say that the dispatcher who had just called us was totally wrong and they would not be coming to get us. She was extremely short and rude with us as if we were the ones who made the mistake and as if we were the Richie's employee who agreed to service us. Utterly ridiculous. Said it was a liability issue to leave us on the side of the road when I asked if I can stay with the dog in the trailer while my mother rides in the towing vehicle.... but here we are now indefinitely on the side of the road? How is that any better? Beats me.

Only downside- I never received a call regarding my vehicle, the process, etc. when it was taken by my insurance company. Would like that "peace of mind" if plausible... I get they can't control everything- but even a little phone call would be nice to update me on my vehicles stance? Like who took my precious car and whatnot? So take what you want- but otherwise a great company given what you have received on the roadway and the aftermath. While trying to problem solve and put a clear plan in place he failed in every single category from respect to clear communication. To the point, when I tried to ask him for specifics, his reply was "I have a million dollars, you don't." He then continued to tell me he did not care for the questions I had and I eventually had to coach him through the process of clear communication. His employee on the other hand was very respectfup and helpful. And was clearly embarrassed to be associated with his "leader". All in all my opinion rests that they have the equipment and employees but are seriously lacking respectful intelligent leadership.
