Been coming here for years and prices are still often too high for what it is. Hidden gems at a…read moregood price is still occasionally to be had here but they're far in between, it's a very common problem they won't admit to or has an excuse for. And as usual, they still play favourites with customers for no real reason and won't admit to it.... ‍ Also, lost count on how often the employees (usually the assistant manager), clearly don't have as much experience with customer service. I've seen worse but some is still really lacking. PS. Make sure you keep your eyes on your items. Had someone took something right from under me when I was looking at something for not even a 5 second. After I realized it, I tried to confront the guy myself but walked away after I realized he won't admit his wrong doing and might gotten the police involved if I continued. When I brought it up to security, they admitted they won't do anything about it. Granted, their safety is a priority but what is the point of having a security guard when you had an issue that is borderline theft and nobody will help you in this regards? This is the kind of store you guys are supporting here, folks.... Employees that might not want to right a wrong or help you if hits the fan unless if you're butt is injured and is a clear liability.

She tried to prevent me from leaving so I very loudly told her so everyone in the store heard me no you do not get to search me, call the manager check the cameras if the manager says I took something ill call the cops, and they can search because they're not gonna find anything! Never used to have problems in your store! Is this how you treat disabled people both customers and disabled employees too?

Folks as mentioned, don't bother with this store…read more On top of all the complaints I've mentioned multiple times about this location (most of which is still 100% true no matter how many times the manager here & head office wants to deny it or hide in her office for....), it just dawned on me that the company itself also don't care if they're acting unprofessional towards people with DISABILITIES, provided they got their money and the person left..... If you were to file multiple complaints to the company about this specific store in terms of any ongoing issues, the employees and manager will start to low key do things to the complaining customer(s) out of spite and laugh at the person behind their back while pretending to be polite with their fake smiles.... Then when it became apparent what they are doing to spite the complaining customer, you shouldn't even bother informing the customer service of this, even if it was stated that the person they're targeting to is a, of all people, a DISABLED person due to them just ignoring your emails and refuse to say anything.... And I'm not the only one they've ignoring the emails to either... Just shows that even if you're someone who's disabled and spent a bit of money at this place (whether by choice or due to hardships), these folks will never change and is just proof on its own along with their usual (not always but usually) expensive prices that some of these locations should be shut down or at least change employees and you needed to support the local business..... but I guess it's easier to stick your fingers in your ears and sing La La La La La and hopes the problem goes away...... Seriously, it's already bad enough they lowkey do things to spite anyone who complains, but after being informed the person filing the complaint is a disabled person and is brought to the attention and yet it still felt like they haven't backed down and their unprofessional behaviour remained the same and the guest service is still choosing to ignore? Yeah.... Amongst other issues this company has, being still behaving the way they do to the disable is a good enough of a reason you people need to just shop elsewhere. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.....

Woodstop Building Supplies itself is not a bad company, so I'm going to adjust my rating to reflect…read morethat, but North Shore Door, a division of Woodstop, does nothing but sully the name of this long standing local hardware store... Absolutely horrible service! It starts off with the confusion, because North Shore Door is actually a division of Woodstop Building Supplies, that is the name you see on your paper work. They are understaffed, so getting a quote takes ages. Once you get the quote, ordering is easy (they want your money after all). Then begins the wait, the products took a long time to arrive and were ordered incorrectly multiple times. Then production is quite slow. On top of that, within about 2 months, I saw them go through at least 4 employee's (something is wrong if you can't hold on to your employee's) which made communicating very difficult as you are always to speaking to someone who is new and doesn't know what they are talking about. John and Mike have at least been there long enough to have answers, if you can ever track them down, but they are absent minded as they are dealing with far too many customers at a time. Belma (who takes payments) is very short tempered on the phone and Anthony (in charge of production) wants nothing more than to hang up on you. Maybe they were frustrated with the fact that I was calling semi-regularily, but I wouldn't have had to if they kept me informed of the status of my order. I never even received a phone call when my items were ready for pick-up! Until North Shore Door can enforce better customer service, learn to keep their employee's and can actually have someone in the office who is available and able to answer questions, I will be steering very clear of this company. Seriously, you've been in business at this location for 5 years, you should have a handle on this by now! PS. Their washroom's are always disgusting as well.
