This is a really small location which as a regular thrifter I would say is the most disorganized and cramped. So messy!

And as usual, they still play favourites with customers for no real reason and won't admit to it.... ‍ Also, lost count on how often the employees (usually the assistant manager), clearly don't have as much experience with customer service. I've seen worse but some is still really lacking. PS. Make sure you keep your eyes on your items. Had someone took something right from under me when I was looking at something for not even a 5 second. After I realized it, I tried to confront the guy myself but walked away after I realized he won't admit his wrong doing and might gotten the police involved if I continued. When I brought it up to security, they admitted they won't do anything about it. Granted, their safety is a priority but what is the point of having a security guard when you had an issue that is borderline theft and nobody will help you in this regards? This is the kind of store you guys are supporting here, folks.... Employees that might not want to right a wrong or help you if hits the fan unless if you're butt is injured and is a clear liability.

They're a Taoist temple tucked away in a Burnaby neighborhood. The community consists of largely Taiwanese people. What i always liked about the temple is that they're not overly pushy for people who aren't believers of Taoism. Whenever I go, I'd take a packet (free) of the blessed rice (raw) home. It was my first time at the Festival and i was pleasantly surprised. As mentioned above, the temple population is mostly Taiwanese people. However, a lot of the stands and vendors consisted of local organizations. This tells me that the Temple has done a great job of establishing their community presence. There were quite a lot of vendors, and tailored to different age groups, community and interests. There was definitely something for everyone. There was also a live band stage. I would definitely come back again next year.

Her doctor agreed, had the necessary application, and filled out the required doctor's portion. She filled out the remaining personal information, and such required, attached a cheque for $26, and mailed the application to SPARC. The permit to hang in the vehicle was 'punched' to start 'July/22', and end 'July/25'. She was hospitalized at the time her permit arrived, and only came home recently. Yesterday was 'the' day -- the space was perfect, and she was so delighted by the helpful assistance the permit provided.

I've been looking for lamps and ceiling light fixture for weeks and was not willing to part with the $40 to $50 most stores where asking. I can be a little cheap at times. Well today I hit the jack pot! I got two plain lamps (without the shades), ceiling light fixture and some paint all for $18.50. Everything I bought was an additional 80% off. Apparently this sale ends tomorrow - all sales final. Now I did see some over priced items that can be found elsewhere new and cheaper, I suppose that's the way it works sometimes but today I made out like a bandit. The service today was good, no complaints. It's definitely worth a look if you're in the area.

I had a bathroom vanity, countertop, sink and mirror to donate. In general I'm not a fan of "junking" things, so I tried to schedule these items to be picked up for their Restore. For whatever reason their online form wouldn't allow me to schedule a day and time. When I tried to call the head office to book a pick-up with someone on the phone, their message said to call the individual stores for pick-up. When I called the individual stores, including the N. Van one, they said to call the head office for pick-up. So in the end I used Just Junk. I know JJ sometimes donates stuff to the Restore so I hope it does eventually end up there and not in a landfill. Restore did not make it easy which is too bad. I'll try again if I find myself in the same situation, however it was a big waste of time this time around.

I was introduced to this store a few weeks ago by a friend of mine. Didn't even realize this store…read moreeven existed as it's quite easy to miss and nobody can tell this is a thrift store. The prices are actually very reasonable and cheap as far as I can tell. This store has a lot of books, plenty of CD, DVD & some Blu-ray. The prices for their books, CD & DVD are actually slightly cheaper than Salvation Army, so if you live in the North Vancouver area or is heading towards to Park & Tilford's Brooksbank area, which is around the Phibb's Exchange area, and often go into Salvation Army thrift stores to shop for these kinds of items in general, this place is worth a peak, but I doubt they restock as often as Salvation Army because I first came like 2~3 weeks ago with my friend and again today and most CD/DVD seemed the same. But they also have quite a lot of home renovation items as well, like doors and other home related items that you might need while renovating your place or if you wanted to replace a dresser and whatnot. So if you're doing this kind of stuff at your house and want to potentially save quite a lot of money in the process, this place might be a very good spot to check out to see if they have anything you could use. The employees I've encountered so far had been pretty friendly. Best of all, they also allow doggos to come in and stroll around as well, so if you want to bring your fur baby along to shop with you, you can. So it's pretty dog friendly. Definitely check this place out if you're someone who enjoys thrift store shopping and if you want to bring your dogs along too.
