For my first visit, I commented on the doorbell situation, but they explained to me that insurance requires this because of the high value of items in stock. It's either that or a security officer. I'd rather ring a doorbell. Shopping at SR is an experience. Having a personal shopper with you is amazing and luxurious, but I've told them I'm just looking around & have called on them only when needed. They'll do either as far as my experience goes. As far as the pricing goes, high-end jewelry is a luxury. It's a want, not a need. Every piece I've purchased from there has appraised for more than I paid. I've even checked with other jewelers before purchasing, and they always have agreed that it was worth equal to or less the amount they were asking. I can only assume with the previous negative review that this particular person hasn't shopped anywhere you can purchase a $200k engagement. (I know I never did - other than an occasional Tiffany's trip - until coming here!) So - back to my review - I don't have many pieces of real jewelry. I'm a fashion lover (and coincidentally a jewelry designer) & my tastes change with the trends so quickly that I feel as though only my most special and classic items will get the wear they're worth as real pieces. I live in Nashville and have made several trips to Tyler to visit SR. I've even purchased through photos and phone calls and had an amazing experience that way too. The only place I've ever actually purchased real jewelry is Susan Robinson, and I can only foresee that that will continue on in to the future. I love every single thing about this place. Our kids are always happy to go here and get along very well with the teachers and the other children; love the food and snacks, and love to learn here. As working parents, we value and have enjoyed seeing our kids develop educationally and socially at an accelerated rate thanks to the education and environment provided by the staff at Live Oak. The owner, manager and staff are very attentive to all of the children and have activities planned daily for them. Live Oak operates by routine for each age class. These are just a few reasons we love Live Oak and why they are always full. If you are planning or expecting, it is best to talk to them in advance to get on the wait list before your child needs daycare. It will be worth it.
