They dug up my whole side yard and it took them about 4 days to complete the work. They charged me $400 per worker to come and complete the job, on top of $2,000 for the first job and over $5,000 for the second job. Come to find out no one charges those prices and they never even cleaned up some of the toilet paper debris left out in the front yard. Then they called for payment and were extremely rude when trying to collect, stating that my checks weren't clearing and they're waiting for my debit card number. Like very unprofessional. The City Inspector shows, no Balanced Comfort. The City Inspector says they do this all the time and leave the homeowner hanging and ultimately responsible. I called back and got the EXACT same runaround as the last time and my permit expired again. I don't know why, but I tried calling, got the same "I'm sorry, we will call you back" with NO CALL BACK. Now I'm getting ready to send a complaint to the Contractor State License Board and manage this mess myself a year and a half later. That never happened and I just forgot, but honestly I shouldn't have had to remember. This yearI got a letter from the city letting me know my permit was going to expire and I had 10 days to respond. I called the office and was told it would be taken care of. I had not heard anything by 2 days before the deadline so I called back. I was told the employee who manages that was on vacation but that she had notified the city. I called the city myself and they told me no one had called. I got an email address and emailed and got the permit extension myself. I called in to Balance again to pass the information on as well as the deadline and was told it would be managed. Well. The deadline was 5 days away and I had no contact from Balance at all. Zero. So I called again and tried to text the owner who says he is available at that time as well (no response it to have the same employee call me back) as I was traveling for work out of state. I was told it would be handled and I would get a call back and an email with a status update. I got neither again. I called yesterday to express my frustration. I was told I would get a call today with an update which did not happen. They keep blaming it on a third party company they are working with, but if that company isn't doing what they are supposed to, that should not be my issue. For the last 3 1/2 years I've been complaining about a leak. Every year for the last 2 years they've come out, discovered that the Freon is gone. Charged me to replace the outside motor and add Freon. this year on June 16, 2026 I called because I'm not getting any AC. the same problem, there is no air and there's probably a leak. . they are refilling the Freon, they are aware of the problem. It's in the notes. The gentleman came out, found the leak immediately. But he also said I need to replace my coils. The coil is three years old. The Warranty ended last year from balanced comfort. But now he's telling me that it needs to be replaced. This is a derelict of duty by balanced Comfort. This is not how you do business. I should not be replacing parts every other year because their company can't do it job.
