Para mí, la experiencia fue muy diferente, porque cuando era una niña visitábamos este lugar y era increíble ver el castillo y La Cruceta del Vigía sin tantas cercas alrededor. The castle remains beautiful, offering breathtaking views of the city and surrounding areas. Although the parking situation is not the best, you will not be spending a very long time there, so it is manageable. For me, the experience felt very different because when I was a little girl, we used to visit and it was amazing to see the castle and La Cruceta del Vigía without so many fences around them. Even so, it continues to be a place full of history, charm, and beauty that is definitely worth visiting.

Turns out it's a tour of the mansion and how it relates to Don Q rum (the business). Tour guide was great and the mansion is beautiful (kitchen was not). The history of it and the cost and all the details of the architecture, construction, and furnishings is interesting if you're into that. At the end of the tour is the gift shop and you can purchase some refreshments including alcoholic beverages. I wanted a pina colada and it was terrible! Ruined my taste for the last time I had one in PR. Overall, it was just ok and we got the low end tickets which were 18.00 a piece (not incl taxes). My recommendation is to drive up there and walk around the outside and take pics.

Due to budget constraints from the recovery effort of Maria there are currently only 2 official tour guides in the town of Poncé to cover their four museums. This means that 2-3 of them are closed most of the days to save on operating costs. 2. If you want to visit any of the museums in Poncé it would be wise to call ahead and setup a time and day so you can be sure that their is a guide available to let you in, show you around and give you a good tour. Also, there isn't any A/c so be sure to wear cool clothing and bring a rag or fan to help you stay cool in the summer months. 3. The Music Museum in Poncé is terrific and, if you are fortunate enough to land Mr. Rodriguez as your guide, you will be truly edifies by the boys of knowledge he will share with you. 4. Be certain to stay to the end of the tour where you will get to see (IMO) the finest collection of PR Quatros assembled in one room by the foremost artist and PR craftsman Carmelo Martéll. 5. If you can, ask to see the courtyard. It is amazing and they would like to start utilizing it fore music events and play productions. -Don't walk through the ground brush though, it has tons of sticky burs. However, you may find a mango or passion fruit if yer lucky. We considered this the "gift shop".

Small museum but interesting. The inside and grounds are very clean and well maintained. Very organized. Outside provides several great pics with outstanding scenery. Pro tip: on the grounds there is a house that is a museum called Casa Canales. There you can learn about a small uprising that took place in Jayuya in 1950. Worth checking out.

The Jardín Botánico de Caguas was constructed over what used to be the Hacienda San José, an old…read moresugar mill from back in the late 19th and early 20th century. It's a nice place to visit with the family that won't set you back. Entrance is $7 for adults and $3 for kids. Children under under 2 don't pay. Our son liked seeing the turtles, birds, and iguanas. We enjoyed a hike around the grounds. It's an easy hike, apt for all ages. There's plenty to see, from flora to sculptures. There is an indigenous ceremonial plaza, a small museum with indigenous artifacts, and of course there are some remnants of the old sugar mill. The Casa Jíbara is pretty cool. You can take a guided tour for an extra $3 or roam around on your own. If you get hungry there is a shack that serves food and refreshments. They told me that every 3rd Wednesday of each month are Noches de Galería on the evening: arts and crafts, music, and food.

Now, as a "tourist" I visited this house museum that narrates an important part of the Puerto Rican history, the city of Jayuya, and the life of an important Puerto Rican figure, Nemesio R. Canales. This house museum is not the original structure, however it intends to represent the original one. This house contains original and vintage items of furniture, papers, books, and other utensils from the original owners and house. It is well kept and persevered. The staff in charge of the museum was very welcoming and polite. They gave information about the house and narrated some historical events occurred in the house and around it. It was a great experience, plus the museum is surrounded by vegetation and a beutiful view of mountains. I am glad that I'm still able to enjoy Puerto Rico's beautiful places and history. If you life in Puerto Rico and has never visites Jayuya, you love history, or you are simply visiting this city... this museum is recommended!

El 80% de los productos son locales y los cultivan en la finca. Local amplio sin aire acondicionado pero con techos alto y abanicos grandes. A la hora del almuerzo no hacía calor. El mesero fue muy atento con nosotros desde la entrada hasta la salida. La comida muy rica y con sabor. Ambiente familiar y por las noches hay música. Llegamos 30 minutos antes de abrir y nos fuimos dos horas después por que el ambiente invita quedarse disfrutando ese espacio.

We went on a tour of the Serrailes mansion and it included entrance to this overlook. There's no…read moresignage as to where the entrance is and what appears to be some entrances are closed off. We walked around to where another gated fence was and a security guard let us in upon showing our tickets. Elevator is out of commission so you have to climb probably 6 flights of stairs so if you are taking someone who is disabled tough luck! As for the views of the city, they're ok, but not the best. I think the best part of it is the history and architecture of the cross itself.
