To see and to learned more of my culture was an amazing adventure at Hacienda Maldonado and I was happy and very grateful. My grandmother last name was Maldonado and I was feeling overwhelmed, and the Maldonado name of the hacienda is a coincidence, I don't think we are related. This is a great museum to visit to learn and see how our ancestors lived. The entrance fee is $5. Make sure to bring cash. The museum is located an hour from San Juan in Salinas. The owner is amazing and this project took him 18 years to complete. He has dedicated it to his parents whom are buried on-site side by side. This is a MUST visit. read more
