The following day I got 3 different quotes for other companies, $375, $400 and $400. I called the company back to say I did not want to use him since his price was too expensive and he refused to refund my $100 down payment. He is a dishonest fellow. Then he called me back 2 week later to say if the tree had not been cut down he could now do it for me for $400. I told him the tree had already been cut down and again he refuse to refund my $100 down payment. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. I have reported him to the NC attorney general for price gouging.

So this business apparently stops when she's off. Explained to me that cutting an oak tree at this time of year can cause injury to the tree and that they don't trim them until fall. Told me I could call them back in the fall. I asked if she was passing on the job because I need a quote now in order to select a company and I would put it on my calendar to have it cut in the fall.
