We were greeted by the attendant who explained that Kiechel features local and regional artists on the two floors that are open to the public. An extensive collection of Thomas Hart Benson drawings were featured on the second floor showcasing his talent outside of the murals that I was more familiar with. The main floor walls represented local artists. Parking in downtown Lincoln is a challenge, and once you find a spot you then deal with the parking meter. We downloaded the parking app and reserved our space for an hour. We spent the first 15 minutes trying to find the building and resorted to asking a clerk at the optical shop. Kiechel has been operating since 1986 but lacks signage and the building number is difficult to see from any distance. The gallery is worth a stop, but you too may have difficulty finding this little gem among the buildings and traffic in downtown Lincoln. I would recommend downloading the parking app before heading to the capital city.

Worst appraiser in town. Their website talks about customer service and how they value a person's…read morebusiness. An appraisal they did for me, when I called to ask her some questions, she said if anyone called her again about the appraisal she would just quit working on it. Promised on a Monday to have an appraisal done on Friday...Got it to the lender on Wednesday. When the underwriter asked for clarification on an issue, at this point it has taken her 8 days and still hasn't responded to the request. Our sale is now delayed by 10 days all because of the appraisal company. The worst part is the seller has absolutely NO MONEY. This delay is costing him hundreds of dollars which he doesn't have. If you find yourself with this company as your appraiser I'd recommend you ask for someone else. Absolutely atrocious customer service. Wouldn't give them even one star if I didn't have to.

Surprisingly they were very professional, kind and informative over the phone. They made me feel comfortable and worked with me on a few things (Which I was completely taken back by) Because there were little to no comps in the area I really struggled but ended up finding a few great comps to show them along with some other additional information to help the valuation out that no one was aware of at the time. My expectations were not very high on what they would do with the information I found and I for sure thought the deal was dead, but to my surprise they agreed to take some info into consideration. Long story short everything ended up working out, my buyers got the home of their dreams and the sellers walked away happy. I don't know any appraisal company that would do this!!!
