Add to that the pretty harsh parking restrictions (which have just become even stricter) and it can take quite significant determination and patience to want to visit, in a private four-wheeled vehicle. Happily, in this context, public transport or my own two feet are usually my preferred means of arrival. On Sunday evening, however, my companion and I needed to park here. We took a long while to chance upon this sweet little car park, by the river, heading towards Teddington. It was a bargain, at just £1 for the whole evening, and worked efficiently in terms of access and obtaining the relevant ticket. Recommended for a great view, too!

Wasting fuel and, more to the point, ruining the atmosphere. Being able to park easily, and in this case, cheaply. Catch a bus, again with a bus pass for free, with a friendly driver to take you into the city and drop you off at preferred stops along the way. Then having a great time in Oxford knowing that you will be near a bus pick-up point to take you back to your car. Perfect in every way.

Sea Court Park and ride for Oxford city centre. When ever i…read morego inito oxford or use the train station i tend to use the park and ride at sea court, can usuly find a space the parking is FREE (24hour) but to get into town you can get the bus that run quite frequently and cost's £2.20 for a return ticket ! also handy for the train station as the stop is just over the road.

I have never used the long stay part but there are always spaces available.An added bonus is you get to look at the ducks and swans on your way out to the town centre.This is a long thin car park which runs alongside the bus station and right up to where the shops start at the Debenhams end of town.Downstairs you can park on a short term basis whilst upstairs is reserved for long stay ,like the car park close to TK Maxx at the other end.There are exits the length of the car park,it is light and you don't feel as closed in as in a multi storey car park. This station is very easy to navigate with a whole flock of taxis waiting outside ready to take you where you need to go. They also have a ton of bus stops here for travel. Outside the station are all sorts of convenience stores, hotels and there is even a skateboarding park just about a block away. It's very convenient to walk to from my company apartment (about a 15 minute walk) so was super convenient during my time in MK to get to London.
