After paying a $2,000 fee, I felt that very little work was completed compared to what I expected from an attorney handling an important legal matter. The majority of the work I observed consisted of limited communication with the opposing attorney, one phone call with me, and preparation of draft copies of FL-300 and FL-950 forms. I did not feel that my concerns were properly addressed, my instructions were not followed, and I did not receive the level of attention, communication, or support that I believe a client should receive when paying for legal services. When I attempted to communicate my concerns, I felt that the response was unprofessional and dismissive. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone considering hiring Mr. Hogan to carefully evaluate whether his communication style, level of involvement, and approach match their expectations. Family law matters are already difficult and stressful, and clients need an attorney who is responsive, respectful, and actively involved in their case. Unfortunately, I did not feel that I received that level of service. If I could give a zero-star review, I would. My mother sought and paid for her services since either the end of 2023 or the first week in January 2024.  As we approach the beginning of march, the paperwork continues to have so many errors. I don't know if it's Lindas lack of knowledge or lack of urgency on this particular case. I'm disappointed that my mother was never given a contract outlining what she was paying for, so you can imagine how this can come off as a scam and/or unethical.  I've tried contacting Linda since she was no longer responding to emails, and once we spoke, she hung up the call.  Had it not been for another legal office that took over,  I would not have realized the terrible and sloppy job that 1st legals do.
