I e been doing the tour of Life Times since we're gonna be here for 2 weeks and by far this…read morelocation is my fav. I really like the lay out of the club as it's wide open. I don't shoot hoops but I like how you can watch as you hit the machines or do curls. I like how the thread mills are on the 2nd floor plus a bonus of a fridge where they have cold eucalyptus towels! Super. The staff is friendly especially at the daycare. I've taken my son twice and they especially sweet to our 5 month old. The parking lot is huge so no problem there. My only hang up is the locker room specially the showers are dated. This is a solid gym and nice location.

We have been long-term Life Time members, and the condition of the outdoor pool at Flatirons this…read moresummer has been incredibly disappointing. The pool itself is consistently dirty--dead bugs, leaves, dirt, and even trash in the water. There is regularly a visible sheen of sunscreen and grime collected around the edge of the pool, which is absolutely disgusting. The pool deck isn't much better, with trash left around and even chewed-up gum on the ground. On top of that, the wasp problem is out of control. There are so many wasps around the pool that people are getting stung, and the apparent solution is to have pool deck employees walk around with cans of Raid spraying them. That is not an appropriate or reassuring solution for a family pool area where people are walking around barefoot and children are playing. At the beginning of the summer, I assumed we had just caught the pool on a bad day. After seeing the same conditions repeatedly all summer, it's clear this isn't a fluke--it seems to be the standard state of the pool area. For the membership prices Life Time charges, members should absolutely be able to expect a clean, sanitary, and properly maintained pool and deck. As long-term members, we expect significantly better and are genuinely disgusted and disappointed by the way this area is being maintained.

I really love the instructors I have worked with at Pilates of Boulder. They have been excellent at…read moreguiding me through the exercises, making sure I have the correct form and keep the pace of the class just right so no one is bored and we're all challenged just enough. I'm not the typical boulder sporty/healthy/fitness nut. Going to the gym is boring and tedious for me; going for a run is out of the question due to joint problems. I do Pilates on the reformer because I find it fun and mentally stimulating. Plus you can get one heck of a workout without even noticing 'til you try to climb the stairs at home. At Pilates of Boulder they would switch it up and spend time on the Cadillac, Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Chair. This introduced me to the variety of equipment and helped keep me interested. The reason I had to take away 2 stars: They don't have enough classes at 5:30pm. Almost every Pilates joint in town caters to people without jobs. This problem is endemic. I know lots of people, who would love to take classes after work but there just isn't much of an opportunity. And no, offering a class later in the evening doesn't count, it cuts up the evening into too many small pieces. I want to go from work, to the gym and then home. The other problem is that the big west-facing windows that provide such a beautiful view, also turn the line of reformers into a broiler in the summer. You can break a sweat just lying on a reformer. Please, I beg you, invest in some sun shades. I don't want to do Birkram Yoga, I want to do Pilates, preferably in a nice cool environment.

I've had great experiences here, and I'm looking forward to seeing them in the new location after…read moretheir reopening.

They offer better classes than any of the other rec centers in the area, such as TRX, pilates, and a whole lot of yoga. The fitness center is big, new, and amazing. I really love to work out there. All of the equipment seems brand new, and it's kept well. The only downfall to this place is parking! The lot isn't very big, and it fills up fast. I've actually ended up leaving after circling the parking lot for 30 minutes (no joke) and not finding a spot. They should definitely add more spaces.

Fitness center side has a good size cardio and weights area. They also have one large dance/class room and another smaller one. This facility is for ages 15+. They have a child care room but this place is basically for grown ups. Next door, the rec center has a large gym for basketball and a large pool area and all of that is for people of all ages. Now that I've clarified about the boundaries, the reason I go to the fitness center is because I'm a hooper. I work out via 'hula hoops'. Now, ideally, I would love to use one of the dance/class rooms that are often vacant during the day, but regular folks are not permitted to use those unless you are taking a class. The large cardio/weight room has mirrors, but not enough empty space for me to hoop. Upstairs, in the hallway (it's a really big hallway) outside the classrooms and the child care there is plenty of space for me to hoop. Also, (and I checked first) I can do this for free because technically, I'm not going into the workout facility and it's a community building. They would get five stars if I could use those awesome rooms, but I can't, so they don't. I know this review will not be relevant for many but it is what it is.
