Finally a woman came out and spoke to us. I believe she was a manager or a teacher. I told her what we wanted to get done that day and she was rude during the entire conversation. She touched my sister's hair as if she was disgusted and told us, " we don't do this kind of hair." It was very humiliating and clearly racially charged since my sister and I are black and have 3b/3c. We then had to scramble to find a new salon to accommodate us so she could get to homecoming on time. Also a few years prior I came to this salon to have my hair done so I don't know why they changed their policy suddenly and couldn't do my sister's hair.

My instructor was immature, unprofessional and a bully. Her behavior made the students comfortable enough to bully others in the classroom (me) and nothing was done about it. I was talked about, called names & yelled at by another student & my pregnant redhead instructor. It got so bad I went to the office to discuss what was going on and basically blamed because my personality wasn't "bubbly" and my instructor said I was being standoffish. The school is not good for POC and you're not going to feel confident when you graduate. I could have watched YouTube tutorials at home instead of wasting my money. If you decide to get services done just keep in mind most of the students are nervous and not really being trained in the best way. I was self taught before going to this school all they did was give me my hours & a piece of paper.

I used to get my hair cut at an Aveda campus in Florida and loved seeing students! I didn't select a preferred student ahead of time, which is good because I got switched around last minute. I'm so glad I ended up in Allison M's chair because she worked absolute MAGIC on my hair!!! I went bold and opted for a full highlight, haircut, blowout, and curls. I wasn't sure about what tones I liked or how exactly I wanted my hair cut, but Allison and her teacher were amazing at suggesting what would look good with my hair type and base color. I showed them pictures of highlights I liked and things I didn't like about my previous color/highlights. Full highlights are a long process, so bring snacks and a good attitude. I had a blast talking to Allison all day. The other students were so kind to chip in and help with things when needed and were fun to talk to as well. You cannot beat the price of the services here ($5 haircuts??? $65 full highlights???) but PLEASE remember to tip these students as you would anywhere else.

Got my hair did this morning. Nothing beats a $6 haircut. So this is my second experience with a…read morebeauty school and I was equally happy with the results with the hair. Just like the last cosmetology school I went to, make sure you have at least an hour to get a hair cut and dry- there will be NO rushing here since all major cuts and decisions need to be cleared with the trainers. This place is a little rough around the edges (cheap decor, a little gossipy...) but the cut and assistance of the master stylist was good. And again, $6 haircut and blow dry? Can't beat it with a stick. My hairdresser student Vanessa took her time, talked to me about what I was trying to do in the future with my hair and was chatty- but not overly so. The only thing that's a little bizarre to watch is that the students not working on human clients are busy completing scenarios on their dummy heads at their stations. Imagine a room full of 15 hair stylists all working on mannequin heads...and you're the only human. Kinda strange. But- it's a beauty school, that's what they're supposed to be doing- hair! Most important thing to know about the place- they ONLY take cash. After labor and deliver (I'm 37 weeks pregger with #Dos) perhaps I'll go back for another cut and color.

After visiting her website, I found it to be well-organized and easy to navigate. I chose the 30-minute spiritual guidance session ($130), and I appreciated that I was able to book a same-day appointment--it was exactly what I needed during such an anxious time. Within a few hours of booking, I received confirmation emails along with the Zoom link, which made the process smooth and reassuring. According to her website, the 30-minute session allows for 5-8 questions, so I took advantage of that by preparing my questions ahead of time since this was my very first spiritual reading. During the session, I asked about my love life as well as some questions regarding relatives who have passed. At times, I provided some clarification to help guide the reading. Later that night, after the session, I received a phone call from my stepdad that ended up reassuring me about my love life in a way that felt very similar to what Angela had shared during the reading, which I found interesting. Angela herself was beautiful, kind, and had a very calming and joyful presence throughout the session.
