Had the best birthday experience here. The staff was great, the vibe was wonderful, and people interacted wonderfully and happily amongst each other. My family made candles, then we painted. We had a blast!! Initially, the two men that came with my group later expressed that they didn't want to come to a painting event, but admitted afterwards that they had the best time. I went here under protest thinking I would hate it. Not sure why, I think I just thought it would be one of those "forced fun" sort of outings! It was actually a blast. If you could watch and learn you could turn out a pretty decent painting (although my husband's is awesome!) I went my own way when they mentioned you could do your own thing, because I just didn't want the same two paintings in our house. They not only had several wines, they also had several craft beers and sodas. Best of, this one had ladies of the Moose Lodge participants, so everyone was required to bring snacks so we had a ton of finger foods. They also had a roaming artist who gave tips and encouragement. Made this reservation with my SO because of a T Mobile Tuesday offer. The Delaware location was appealing to us because they had a really beautiful sunset picture that was available on the day that was convenient for us. However, I am so glad we came to this location for several other reasons! The instructor, Jenn, made an effort to get to know us and to come around to see if we had any questions and to give us feedback in real time. I will say, the class was a little rushed at the end so that is my one point of constructive feedback, because the post at the front of the picture is the most challenging part of the painting!! This was also just like, SO fun. If you're thinking "will this really be that enjoyable?" the answer is YES! They also had mimosas and a good selection of White Claw, Beer, and Wine that was available during our three breaks during the session! Brought my parents here for their anniversary. The people were nice enough to let me sit with them. They purposely kept us on the end of the table so that we 3 could sit comfortably. It was "date night" so they each drew a half of a larger painting. Once we arrived, we found our name tags on the table. The open bar served wine, beer & some non alcoholic drinks. The entire place was filled with paintings which gave out a very cheerful vibe. The instructor explained every step in an easily comprehendable and fun manner. There were a couple breaks in between when the bar would be open. My parents, being it their first time, had a blast! I will definitely bring more people here. Chose this studio from Yelp for my Goddaughter's 19th birthday celebration and it was the best decision we could have made. Two of our guests have suppressed immune systems, so we operate out of an abundance of caution. ALL of our questions were answered rapidly and with such care. From the time I arrived (30 mins late), all of my stress melted away. Everything was seamless, we had a private room with an instructor, a designated set up area for food, a beverage station right outside the door, music playing...it was the best. Our artist was so kind and especially encouraging to my Goddaughter, who is also an artist. The artist gave us tips on how to alter our pieces to make them our own and even changed hers. I've been to paint and "sips" (although we only sipped on juice) before, but this was by far the best experience. Ps...if you don't finish your painting or would like to make changes, the studio offers a free class every Sunday to do so! It's a really nice option if you live in the area. read more

I'm in love with PWAT! We visited this location during their grand opening. It is located in a shopping plaza, but the store itself is somewhat small. When you enter in, the painting space is right there. There doesn't seem to be room for more than one party at a time, unlike some of the other PWAT in the TriState area. It's hidden in the corner and could be easily missed but like that great little restaurant that you love, you don't want to miss this! Painting With A Twist is a really fun way to release stress and let out your inner artist! I like to go alone and have some me time but many go for parties too. I've met several wonderful people on my excursions. I have a nice glass of wine and create something beautiful to enjoy when I'm finished. I wasn't sure what to expect but glad I tried this. The atmosphere is fun, upbeat and lively. I'm not sure if every class is similar but while I was there music was playing and instructors were dancing and cracking jokes. This is a fun activity for groups, couples or even by yourself. Check their website for upcoming dates and artwork selections. Be mindful that pictures online may vary in person. I think the art that was featured on the web came out differently during the class based on the colors they gave us to use, but still a cool experience. read more

I've been here twice (once for a kids birthday party and again recently for an adult private party. Each time I had a total blast. The instructors are thorough but laid-back and fun in the process. You Also have the flexibility to make each painting your own, with color and design. There is an open bar for the adult events which is included in the price. Good place for the kids and adults. Everyone feels like an artist and gets creative with their work. The method the artists use to walk you through the process is really helpful. Especially for us that are less art inclined. Its easy to become discouraged when your painting doesn't come out "perfect" but the best thing to remember is everyone's painting is their own unique work. The only concern I had was the slightly less than ample drying stations for the paint. But with the free beverages offered, I was more than happy to wait. read more

Had a private party Sunday night and LOVED it! The artist was so nice, there are so many paintings to choose from and had our own private room. You can bring your own munchies and there is a limited bar provided within the cost. Everyone's paintings came out awesome and a perfect night was had by all. Reserved a party for my 12 year and her friends yesterday, November 27. Bad experience to say the least. First off, it's suggested to arrive 15 minutes before you party to set up. I arrived 16 minutes before my party, but did not go in until 14 minutes. Once inside, I was standing in another party and was never greeted. A minute passed and finally a female at the desk (showing annoyance) said, "Yes". No greeting or anything. My best friend, Dionne said, "hi, we're here for the 2:00 party". She replied, "go to the back". The response was rude, unprofessional and uninviting. If my daughter wasn't looking forward to the experience- I would have left. Once we were "shooed" to the back room... We were not greeted by our Artist until 1:58pm. This was our first time at this location and it seemed that we were treated differently because of our party. We were not treated like we were valued. After spending $250 on this party I thought the pleasantries would have been automatic. The party along with myself were uncomfortable. Parents were rushed to the back as if we were interrupting something and we were in the way. If this is the case, they need to restructure the facility making a greeting area, then private rooms- so when guest walk in they will not be in the middle of someone else's party and feel they did something wrong. Additionally, I was told that juice would be provided to my party. When I was setting things up, the artist told me to go up front where there was coffee, tea and water. I replied, that's not what you said you offered for a kids party. She sighed, and replied, I will make you some pink lemonade. Our party was over at 4; however, our artist was cleaning the room at 3:30 and took the pink lemonade out to the other party- never asked if we were done. We felt so put off that we left the building and waited outside at 3:41. I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone. They are not friendly, inviting or professional. I will contact their corporate office on Monday. read more

I have not painted for 30 years and I can not draw... So, I was a bit nervous, but it was a great time!! The instructor and assistant makes you feel at ease. I'm actually looking on the calendar to book my next one!! If you are thinking about going- don't be nervous. I have no skills in the art ( even wrapping gifts is questionable! hahaha) and I was so surprised how good my painting turned out. This is a great time! I was quite disappointed with Painting with a Twist. I went to Kennett Design once before and loved it! It was a relaxing evening that consisted of painting, wine, and space to enjoy a snack. I decided to try Painting with a Twist because I really liked some of the paintings posted on their site. Initially I invited my mother to join me for this as a 69th birthday gift but last minute, she was unable to attend. I'm very glad because she NEVER would have been able to keep up with the pace of the painting. It was a sold out painting and the room was PACKED. The paper plates that held the paint went under the easel as there was no where else to put it. A place for a drink? Barely. A place for a snack? NO WAY. The event was only two hours but should have been 2.5 hours. The event got started about 10 minutes late and the first few steps of the painting were a quick but manageable pace. As the painting progressed, the instructor pumped up the pace. I was 2-3 steps behind each step and many around me were as well. The instructor then yelled.. "15 more minutes to get this done.. another 36 people are coming in. Six more minutes to finish up, another 36 people are coming in." If you want a relaxing event with friends, this is not the place. This is a company that is overbooking a small space and raking in the dough but does not care about their customers and their final product. I am proudly able to display my painting from Kennett Design but unfortunately my painting from Painting with a Twist will be thown out. I felt very rushed and it was not a nice, relaxing afternoon. Although I feel that I am artistic, my rushed painting did not reflect that at all. read more
