The talent is there but the customer service is not. Mando is a great stylist & the employees are actually pretty friendly. My issue is with professionalism. The second appointment I made there was not written in the books. When I showed up on time, the lady couldn't find my appointment. It was never recorded so they had to "squeeze" me in. Third appointment I made was the most recent. I made it for 10am on Friday. Gave my name and number as usual. I get there at 9:50 and the door is locked even though their hours start at 8am. I called and no one answered. I thought maybe I was their 1st appointment of the day so they decided to open up later. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I waited in my car for 20 minutes. I called one more time at around 10:10 and still no answer. I left. I'm not waiting on them to show up whenever. I was actually shocked. I mean everyone just decided not to come into work?! Really.... I highly doubt all of them had a family emergency at the same time. I also found it strange, that even if I was their 1st appointment of the day, they should always open at their posted hours. They're missing calls from potential customers and walk-ins. To me that's very unprofessional and I'm sorry to say they have lost my trust. I don't think I'll be returning. Who knows if my next appointment will be recorded or they decide to show up for work. It's sad because they are talented, but I need a salon I can trust. read more

I took the advice here and went with Mando. He did an excellent job with my hair cut. You can tell he cares about your hair and knows what he is doing. Also, the price is good. Call for an appointment. It is in a hearing aid building by Valley Garden Center, they should change the sign. read more

I ran across Hair Art Studio on Yelp after unfortunately finding out my favorite hair establishment had closed. I was a bit hesitant considering there's only one review. That's usually the case in the Valley, though. After calling them, I figured I did not have much to lose considering how affordable they are. So on to the good stuff. I was very happy with my haircut! Granted, I was not asking for much! I needed a trim, a quick touch up on my layers, and work on my bangs, My bangs were crazy overgrown and hardly looked like bangs at all. I came out with a cute side swept bang and zippy refreshed layers :) The place is a bit hard to find. It shares a parking lot with the Valley Garden Center, next to the hearing aid place. The interior is very cute and the services are very affordable. Haircuts are $20! Super bargain! And Aida, the lady who cut my hair, was very nice and personable and makes you feel comfortable. I will update after my eyebrow wax-which by the way is only $10. read more

This is THE place to get a hair cut in the Valley. No doubt. You can trust anybody there with your hair, they will treat it and you very well. Aida has been in charge of my hair since my Senior prom and I wouldn't have it any other way. She'll be doing my wedding hair and my kids' wedding hair - as of now, there's no one else I trust. Even if I move I will come back down so she can fix me up. So yes - this place is amazing and I highly, HIGHLY recommend it. read more

This is what Amara did to my hair one week before my wedding. I really do not recommend this place. She reimbursed the money for the services. However, my hair was severely damage and I had to pay 140.00 for the color correction and a deep conditioning treatment. Now I have a lot of hair breakage and my ends are all burnt, I had to cut my hair. The worst is that Amara let me leave the salon without telling me she had messed up my hair and she had the audacity of charging me 80.00 for a botched service. Her products are cheap. I do not recommend this place. Very unprofessional. read more

Loved this place! I received a really great cut from Mando and I simply love it. I have very thin and curly hair and Mando did a fabulous job with it. My hair was a fried hot mess and now it's soft and full of body. If you have curly hair and are looking for a stylist that can cut and style your curly hair I highly recommend hair art studio. The place itself is very well kept and clean on the inside. The stylists and receptionist are friendly and funny and you won't be sitting there for an hour after your appointment was scheduled to get your style underway. Thanks Amada! I loved my new hair cut! I found this place thanks to Yelp. I was able to book an appointment the same day. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly and didn't wait much at all. Amada is very sweet and fun to talk to. She made me feel at ease and gave me exactly what I wanted. Look forward to going back to get some color added. Place is a bit hidden, look for a light colored building with red roof. Building is facing McColl Road. It was hard to find, so ask for directions when you call. ;) read more

Called various times with out an answer. Made appointment finally to then drive to the place and not find it. Called again to get better directions finding he place with no answer. They answered later to then tell me it was late to the appointment and had to re-schedule. Let the lady know I had been calling trying to find the place but no one was answering. The directions on google are not accurate. The woman who answered did not want to give me the address till I made a new appointment-what a joke! Poor service read more

I went here based on other Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. Aida color corrected the mess that I had previously created (with a cheap box job) and gave me a fresh and sassy trim. Her color was spot on and looked completely natural (and sexy!). I wish I lived here because this would definitely be my go-to place for any haircare needs. read more

Benny valdezs is the best for color I have ever had. Every place in the valley turned my blond to orange or even in Austin would foil the roots so much my hair was brittle and dry. I'm so happy that I came to this salon. I was lucky to able to get an appt the same day on a Saturday. Aída was my stylist, and right away it was obvious how knowledgeable she was about different cuts and styling. She was charming, really easy to communicate with, and just good at cutting hair! I came in for an asymmetrical bob, showed her a picture of the style I was trying to get and she pulled through! She also styled it at the end which was great. Besides me, there was another customer who left before me who got an AMAZING hair styling by the other stylist--she seriously looked like she was about to walk the red carpet. We both left glowing with how happy we were with our hair. Very reasonably priced, too. If you're reading this, take this as a sign to make an appt! read more
