Having researched various salons on yelp I was frustrated that none would live up to the services of my previous stylist. One day I was out getting my nails done in Tropiano plaza and decided to check out the new salon next door, "Primp." I was drawn in my the sharp design. The decor is a perfect balance of modern and forties vintage. So cute! I was greeted by the owner Nicole, and though she was busy she offered to sit down with me for a consultation. After explaining my disposition she went through a detailed description of how she would do my cut and style, highlights and lowlights, and what conditioning treatments the salon offered. I scheduled an appointment for the following week and was amazed at the results! All of us blondes know how tricky it can be to get a healthy natural looking set of highlights. Nicole did a mixture of champagne and gold highlights with tea and subtle bronze lowlights. Having coarse hair she offered an affordable protein pack that left my locks silky. I even entrusted her to shape and wax my brows! This salon is top notch with lower prices than other high-end salons, I would suggest to anyone looking for a new salon to go on the website or stop into Primp for a visit!

I received a glass of citrus water which was incredibly refreshing. The shampoo chairs are so comfortable! Normally, I have a love/hate relationship with getting my hair shampooed. I love the shampooing part, but hate sitting in uncomfortable chairs that strain my neck! In these chairs, you can actually extend the footrest. A head, neck, and shoulders massage is also included when you get to the cutting chair. Seriously the *best* part. I look forward to it every time. They really do treat you very well here. She is easy to book appointments with and has a nice variety of availability. The salon itself is bright and nicely set up. There are two nail techs and several stations for stylists. They have two shampoo sinks (where you can also get waxing done) and two dryers. Shelby has done cuts, colors and full highlights for me and also done cuts for my kids. What I like is that she is honest about what will and won't work with colors and styles. If she thinks something won't last or that you won't be happy, she will tell you and suggest alternatives that might work better. She works efficiently but you never feel rushed and her prices are very affordable. I always look and feel amazing after a visit to Shelby. Highly recommend her!

The facilities were beautiful and the staff and even other clients were extremely friendly. The facial itself was amazing (you should see the GUNK that gets out of your skin), and the owner was super friendly and apologetic for the scheduling mishap. We'll be going back for more treatments and my mother even wants to plan a spa day for my cousins and aunts and me!
