And I'm a very low maintenance hair guy. I grew my hair long for a year -- no cuts -- and went to a barber explaining that I had just invested a year of my life in this length and would he please tidy it up. Within 10 seconds, he'd cut the entire length off. Pretty pissed at the lost year, I did it again. One more long year of no hair cuts. Fretting about what to do next, my beautiful wife researched hairdressers who aren't overly fussy and can handle dudes with long hair. Jocelyn popped out of the search and I made a booking. I am very happy I did. I've now had two cuts with Jocelyn at her Tribeca location. Last week, I took our 8 year old ninja for his back-to-school cut. Booking an appointment was fast and easy; you can book it via Yelp. I booked hubby for a Saturday morning appointment. I didn't personally go in the salon where Jocelyn is at with him. She has a spot inside "Salon Salome," near the southeast corner of Diversey and Halsted. The location is convenient because it's one (1) block away east from the CTA Diversey Brown/Purple Line station, also accessible via CTA #8 (Halsted) and #76 (Diversey) buses. Hubby said he had a great experience with Jocelyn. After he presented the photo that edgy-hair celebrity, she provided a thorough consultation and "tweaked" to suit his hairline and facial structure. You pay Jocelyn directly. She has one of these i-pads with a card-swipe device and credit cards are accepted.
