Worth the wait. The owner Kevin is a solid barber who has great attention to detail. He listened and adjusted as he cut my hair, and is very perceptive to what you want. The place also has a great 1950s vibe to it--really maintains the character and history of the neighborhood. Price is also the best in town--$21 for a cut (not including tip, which is a no brainer to add on). Littleton Blvd, and my husband (an older guy) went here after his longtime barber retired, and he was getting desperate for a hair cut. My husband has great wavy hair with lots of body, and it's totally white (and has been since he was in his late 30s). He came out with almost no hair - literally about 1/4" long in the back and 3/8-1/2" on top. It looks like a shaved head that's growing out! Worst haircut I've ever seen on my husband! Sometimes, you just gotta stand up for small businesses like Broadway Barbers. While their overall rating remains strong, I'm bummed to see trolls putting out dishonest, semi-incoherent and disrespectful reviews. This behavior not only hurts small businesses in our local community but undermines Yelp as a platform for reviews that people can trust. While haters gonna hate, I highly recommend 1) tuning these people out 2) coming and getting your hair cut from Kellie or her team. I've been going to her for over two years, and like I said in my previous review, will not let anyone else touch my hair - or my son's, or anyone else that I care about, really. A good barber is hard to find! What you'll get is a shop that's clean and well run. Most importantly, you'll always leave looking and feeling your best. I think some people just don't know how to communicate with their barber -- Kellie is awesome, but not a mind reader. The first time I came to the shop, I showed her at least a half-dozen photos of what I wanted and talked through what I was trying to achieve. She got my cut about 95% there, and I then requested a few changes. A little shorter here, more texture there, etc. Bottom line, be clear about what you want and don't hesitate to speak up if it's not quite there yet. Like any barber, Kellie wants you walking out feeling like a million bucks and it's a bit of a team effort. Also, I think someone mentioned her vaping in front of them? Well, ever since I quit smoking, I've become sensitive to the smells of cigarettes, pot, vaping and whatnot. She's never vaped in front of me or my son, and I am in her shop 1-2 times a month. If you're telling the truth, did you ask her to stop? Did you say something to her face, or did you only wait until you were safely behind a computer to talk shit? Again, such posts should be a Yelp violation and removed, especially since most businesses face a backlash when standing up for themselves. And that's a damn shame! Bottom line, don't let a few obvious trolls and cowards dissuade you from coming to Broadway Barbers for a fantastic cut at a great price. I found Kellie and Broadway Barbers through lots of trial and error of trying to get the best barber shop experience in Denver. After searching for several years I was so happy to love the haircut I received, the conversations with Kellie, and the compliments that followed and people asking where I get my haircut. Over the last two years Kellie has become someone I look forward to seeing every two-weeks and our time together is almost therapeutic. Kellie is a savy business owner and takes immense pride in her business. I love the ability to schedule whenever I want from my phone and when I arrive she's pretty much always running on time. I've had many of the services offered beyond a normal haircut including a hot towel shave and a nose wax (highly recommended). Heather Martinez is fantastic! My 15yo daughter is a very picky person when it comes to hair. She had length to her waist and needed a cut badly. She showed me a picture of the cut she wanted and I immediately knew Heather would be the best. She took the time to address her concerns and listened intently, then after she got a good idea of what she wanted she says "I have an idea of how to cut it but you'll have to trust me". After she saw the mirror it was instant smiles! She was floored by the job she did. She gave her tips on how to style it going forward and when my daughter showed my her hair and it was beautiful! Worst haircut I have ever gotten In my life matt seems to not have the slightest idea on what he is doing he truly has no clue what he is doing, I asked for a mid taper and he gave me a high fade, when I confronted him about it he said yea sorry I went a little higher than I wanted to. A little higher???? It was literally 3 inches how do you mess up that bad. And to top it off he charged me $36 when he has no idea what he is doing I do not recommend this barbershop to anyone I walked in with curls all around and walked out with a Mohawk now I have to wait at least 3 months for my hair to grow back how it was. Truly a horrible experience. I didn't know how bad the haircut was until after because I had to take my glasses off and I can't see a thing without them if not I would've walked out mid haircut that's how bad it was. When I woke up this morning and looked in the mirror I realized I needed to get a haircut. My usual barber is taking some family time off so I've been left looking for a replacement barber. I took to yelp to find a nearby barber with good reviews. Kellie had good reviews at her previous barbershop and good reviews at her own shop, Broadway Barbers. I hit the button for schedule an appointment and got an email back shortly. The whole process was easy. The final product matched exactly what I wanted. That never happens with a first time haircut. Kellie asked if I wanted my eyebrows trimmed, she trimmed any errant ear hairs, and gave my neck the straight razor clean up. All that for $20? Heck yeah! A note about the atmosphere: it's a man friendly environment with rustic finishes. There were some cool old school tunes playing in the background. The hound dogs hanging out put a little fun into the place. And the most important thing for me is the place was clean - no dust on brickabrack, clean floors, etc. I will be making my next appointment here. I recently moved from Phoenix and was happy to find a spot that was proprietor operated with such strong reviews. However, I was thoroughly disappointed with Kevin as my barber. Don't get me wrong, Kevin is an ok barber, and gave me a good haircut, but it was nothing close to what I asked for and took twice as long as what it should. In short, Kevin didn't listen to me. I came prepared with five pictures of my simple tailored cut from all angles that my previous barber had taken in the chair, and a detailed description of how I like my hair cut. Kevin took his time, close to an hour and a half, cutting my hair and as the time went by my bill went up. Kevin decided it would be fair to charge me more for a "specialty cut" due to the time in chair. I was only 3 weeks from my last cut, and simply needed a clean up. I was also surprised that an "Old Fashion Barber" didn't offer typical services with the cut (hot towel, shoulder massage, after shave, ect). I left feeling extremely disappointed and itchy (Kevin didn't bother to brush my neck/ears, or use a hot/wet towel). Got 2 Stars instead of 1 because he didn't butcher me. They aren't the worst, they just don't care or listen to what you want. This could be a great shop if there was some passion for what they do. read more

Excellent cut, excellent barber. It's a classic barber shop all around. Kevin takes the time to ask what sort of haircut you want, how you want to look, how long it's been since your last cut, etc. He takes time int he beginning and it makes a huge difference. I'm very happy with my cut and will be back again. He does accept credit cards, but strongly prefers cash. Length is what I asked for and I'm not cradling myself in a corner waiting for it to grow in a little more. 2. Shop cleanliness/look? Pretty neat. I like it, it's got a good sense to it. Husband got his hair cut here. Husband told barber what he usually does to his hair at home, and barber took that as a starting point to give him something good, but that he "couldn't do himself at home." (He said he wanted to make sure Husband got his money worth!) Barber then trimmed Husband's beard and gave him some much wanted beard tips. He does prefer cash, but took our card since it was our first time. A cut is $16, and a beard trim is $7-9, depending on length. read more
