Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. It has a fun small-town vibe where everyone likes to talk and interact. I'll definitely be returning and will likely make this my regular place to go. P.S. I saw a review trying to say these people were racists or something based on online comments. Personally, I find it unhealthy if you're unable to let strangers have privacy outside of their work so I don't go creeping on employees. That said, I observed a diverse set of ethnicities and backgrounds in the employees and customers. They all interacted like good friends and were kind and respectful all around. Sounds to me like someone just got offended by a Facebook argument and decided to make personal attacks at the expense of the reputation of hard-working, small-town business owners. Frankly, that review is more hateful and bigoted than anything I saw. And I was actually there, so you can decide. If you're someone that's worried about being treated with kindness and respect, I'd fully expect that you'll get it here. (As long as you don't have trouble giving the same of course.)

Thankfully Braiders Lounge exists! It was super easy to schedule an appointment online. Reminders are automatically sent so you won't forget. The lounge is located in an office building with its own parking lot so that's not an issue. Once you go inside through the East main doors, it's easy to spot on the right. My girl Melissa totally hooked me up. The space itself is amazing! Clean and organized with places to sit...definitely lounge-y! The best part of any hair appointment for me is the hair wash and scalp massage. So relaxing! That alone would have earned a top review but of course we need to talk about the braids. I submitted a picture of what I wanted but was undecided between one Dutch braid or two. Melissa suggested two with a part. She was so quick and effective with the time we had available. This is quite the feat since I have extremely long hair. How she managed to dry my hair before braiding it is beyond me. The braiding is immaculate with clean and tight lines. So many people have complimented me and I keep sending them her way. They also have silk scarfs and products available to take care of your braids and ensure durability (she said some people have their braids last two weeks!).
