The girl who washed my hair did an amazing scalp massage, second only to The Legendary Scalp Massage I experienced once in New Zealand. The lady who cut my hair was very jovial, and involved me thoroughly in the haircutting process, which is always very important. Every stage of the way, she checked it was what I wanted, and that she had it right. When I went, there were more staff than customers, and there were two trainee girls who had clearly been told to watch my haircut take place. Although they spent most of the time hovering over my shoulder in the mirror, the experience was not uncomfortable. In fact, I felt a little like I was taking part in Crufts. But they were polite and smiley enough. And all for £20, there were certainly no complaints from me.

I Find the women in the hairdressers lovely they are polite and friendly. The cut hair very quickly which can sometimes be a little careless and rough. There are several parking spaces outside the hairdressers.

The staff is very friendly and the salon has a great and quiet atmosphere, not to mention coffee! It might be a bit pricier than most salons, however, though still very reasonable given the quality of the service.

In other words I can't imagine they get many young customers here so you may get an unexpected hair cut if you visit. Having said that, they were very polite and kind when I popped in and I guess if you were looking for a simple trim then they probably can do the job. They don't do any student discounts and are open at irregular times. Personally, I think its best left alone if you are under the age of 50.

Although I've now moved away from the area, if I know I am going to be back I will put off getting a hair cut anywhere else in order to get it done here. Prices are very fair, with discounts for seniors and children. Both Barrie and Jamie are very funny gentlemen and keep you entertained with conversations on any topic you could possibly imagine. They are often very busy, but there is a couple of couches for waiting, and it is worth the wait. On many occasion I've stood in line in the doorway.
