She started with my manicure with no puffing, cleaning properly the set up was in their locker room so uncomfortable DID not even have lamp or fan to dryer the polish. When it came to pedicure she brought a bucket and I asked if they have lamp for my toes to dry they said no I will have to wait till the polish drys or pay extra $10 to get shellac. I decided not to get pedicure since my nail polish already ruined and I did not have all day to stay there for my nails to be dried. In -15 temperature they suggested me to bring sandlals what kind of business or academy are they running I feel so bad for the students and clients. I have groupon they did not even redeemed for my mani asked me to come back for pedi to redeem I had to pay out of my pocket and waste my groupon beast I will never return at this place for any service.

For…read morecontext, I have over 3,000 hours of training plus a 500‑hour specialization in colour and cuts from Montreal, so I have a solid sense of what a professional learning environment should look like. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The space was extremely chaotic and noisy. Students were loud, unfocused, and constantly socializing over clients. It didn't feel like a training environment at all. I even had to ask them to quiet down because they were chatting over my head while cutting my hair. The haircut itself was poor, and even simple beard‑trim instructions were mishandled. The instructor offered very little guidance and didn't step in to correct obvious mistakes. My friend's haircut was even worse -- genuinely upsetting to see. The one bright spot was Miranda at the front desk. She was calm, elegant, professional, and genuinely welcoming. She was the only person who gave the place any sense of order. Overall, the service and training quality were far below expectations. A+ for Miranda. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was an F.

I found the space unusual because it was all around, which I think would make it harder to coordinate a play because there is no front or back. They seemed to make it work. The acting was decent and I love seeing the passion of the students. Definitely will be here again for events. And for the student, smaller class sizes, more one on one attention, close to downtown and LRT and an easy to maneuver campus make it worth the extra cost.

I decided to complete all my courses online and it was great so I didn't have to go into MacEwan except to write exams or do a presentation. The exams were after work hours so it was convenient for me working and taking courses. The buildings were easy to find classrooms and I only ever bought food from the Tim Hortons and it could be a long line. Most of the instructors were fairly good to reply back promptly when I had questions or concerns. There was one instructor that wasn't very good and when I shared my concerns with the Department, they were very open to hearing my feedback. The only issue I had was with the admissions department who act like they don't care about providing decent service and walk around with the ho hum attitude.

For a Sunday morning, they had a room with art class, children's programming on computers, and then the Antique room where the cooking class was. The class had about 9 students and there were tables and chairs set up. When it was time to cook, the kitchen got a bit crowded with 2 stoves and people standing around the middle counter space. We had to maneuver around others to find cooking utensils and bowls. But all the cupboards and drawers are labelled so it wasn't too difficult to find what you're looking for. The knives were sharp and they have lots of cutting boards. There are also lots of pans and some deep ones to hold lots of food. We cooked, ate, and then cleaned up. They even had containers for those that wanted to take some leftovers home. The venue is convenient with parking and also accessible by walking or transit. It's an older building as the washrooms are dated but everything was clean and in working order. I would come back and take a class here again.

When you purchase a machine you also receive sewing lessons to help you learn about your machine and refresh your basic sewing skills. This also goes for serger purchases.

The young stylist did not introduce herself. She was a bit timid. She asked the pre-requisite questions. Very pleasant person She washed my hair, but she could have been a little more vigorous. I got a "wee" scalp massage. She was gentle as she brushed my hair. I appreciated this as a nice change from my last stylist. She cut my hair EXACTLY as I asked. Her instructor checked her work. AOK! She then proceeded to give me a blow-out. It wasn't really as smooth as it should have been, so she flat ironed it. When she was done, her instructor gave her the "nod". I guess she passed. I was not offered a mirror to see the back of my hair. She could have exuded a bit more confidence. I'm actually glad she didn't "natter" the whole time. It was $25.00. You are supposed to ask the checkout to add your tip amount to your card because the machine doesn't have a tip function. I guess you could leave cash. I will do that next time. Who knows if that tip made it to my stylist's pocket. I have no way to ask for her next time as she didn't tell me her name. It's a clean space with nice wall art and music from the 70's and 80's. (They must have seen me coming. Hahaha.) For that price, I'll be back.
