It basically just comes down to the fact that they don't seem to know what they're doing AT ALL. (When the employee starts asking the customer what they're supposed to do, that should be the first red flag.) I've had haircuts all over the country when I'm traveling (Dallas, LA, Sacramento...) and this was the worst haircut I've ever had. I guess it's safe to assume that a $15 haircut at a Walmart in the middle of Kansas is going to be as bad as it sounds. The woman that initially cut my hair didn't seem to know what she was doing when I requested what I would consider a very basic men's haircut. She immediately started to have an attitude when I asked her to make some adjustments. Things started getting worse as I requested that she cut a little shorter. After pointing out several times that she had clearly done something very weird, and that there was even a noticeable chunk of hair missing, the (I'm assuming) manager came over and suggested that she wash my hair, assuring me that everything would look normal once she did that. (Right.) So, humoring her, I let her wash my hair, after which she attempts to put product in my wet hair and send me on my way. I very politely ask if she can dry my hair so that we can see if the problem has been fixed, and she has such a fit that the manager has to do this herself. As the manager works, I very clearly see the first girl behind me in the mirror with her massive attitude, rolling her eyes, smirking, etc. SO... my hair is finally dry, and we discover that the problem is still there. (Hmm... surprising.) After pointing out several times the glaringly obvious weirdness going on my head, the manager finally suggests that going even shorter will fix the problem. (Dear god.) Nevertheless, I indulge her. After taking off basically as much hair as I dare let her, the haircut still looks pretty botched. The manager asks me if I'm satisfied with what she has done, to which I reply that I didn't feel that the haircut looked any better than before. At this point it's pretty clear that, regardless of her effort to remediate the situation, allowing them to take off any more hair is not going to be the solution. I'm told that I'm free to go and that I don't have to worry about paying. So, the one star is for effort, I suppose? 1. Product delivered was poor 2. First employee had an attitude, argued with the customer, and attempted to cover up mistakes instead of admitting fault and remediating the problem. 3. Manager's attempt to fix the problem led to me having even less hair, and I still have to go find someone to fix what's left of it. 4. Neither employee was willing to admit that a mistake was made. 5. Both employees were patronizing and condescending. I suggest going somewhere else that will extend real professional courtesy and customer service.
