This was by far one of the worst salons that I have dealt with for a hair dye in Winnipeg. I went into the salon in hopes of receiving a medium brown/copper full hair dye, which lead to a black/red copper color. I walked into the salon with my natural hair color, ash blonde, and various highlights that transgressed into lowlights. The base of my hair turned out a black and red combination, and my lowlights and highlights were a hew of bright orange.
Prior to the session, I showed various pictures and my own hair extensions to prove how close I wanted to be to the preferred shade desired. The dye that the hairstylist did my hair, we found out, was at least four to five shades off. The stylist was not accommodating to finding a solution to the problem, became defensive, and allowed other coworkers, who were dealing with their own clientele, to get involved in the issue.
When addressing the issue to the manager on duty, she was not willing to come speak to us in person, nor sympathize or suggest anything to resolve the problem. A group of the workers would run back and forth from the managers office, speaking on behalf of the manager, and trying themselves to figure out how to resolve the problem.
What ended up happening was a three hour Aveda bleach shampoo/conditioner treatment, as well as a toner to lighten up the dye. The stylist who first did the dye ran off and the job was left for a younger stylist to complete.
A two and half hour dye ended up being a full day excursion: 6 hours in total: In closing, the service and environment was very unprofessional and lacked a good sense of morality in helping clients. I have worked in retail for more than 30 years as a manager, and never have I seen a manager, or a whole group of employees for that matter, neglect and pick an argument with a customer like I have today. read more
