She will set your curls free! As a salon, Aura is completely gorgeous. I love its shabby chic vibe with fun bursts of color from some amazing vintage furnishings. It feels like no other salon I've been in, and I mean that as a compliment. Aura is in an old storefront from the early 1900s (or so) with magnificent windows that let in natural light and tall ceilings. It feels elegant and cozy at the same time -- there's nothing corporate about it. It's weird to say, but even the shampoo chairs are super comfortable. I'm so glad they opened up shop so close to where I live and work. They also get bonus points because they're right across the street from Wheat Penny (one of my favorite restaurants in Dayton) and adjacent to all that the Oregon District has to offer.
