First, the inside of the salon is absolutely beautiful, with a bright, airy feel on the inside. There's a bunch of plants with windows letting in natural light. Everything is crisp and clean. My stylist, Anna, listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me great advice to guide me in the right direction in how to achieve beautiful hair. During the entire visit she was teaching me things about hair care, walked me through what she was doing, and made me so very comfortable. She took time to do it right, and made the whole experience very special. If you go there, definitely request her because she was just out of this world. I told Beth exactly what I wanted with pictures and good communication. Although the owner refunded my money, it doesn't re-grow hair. Missy tried to re-style my hair to an acceptable style. But she couldn't put my hair back. She just cut off more. She also tried to cover for Beth but there was absolutely no mis-commutation. Beth simply didn't listen to me. I'm still very angry, and it has been weeks since my visit. I would never recommend this salon. Perhaps other stylists at this salon are good, but not Hair-by-Beth. Missy was a little disappointing as well. Her attitude, and then cutting more hair was a little misguided. I'm also upset because I diligently researched salons before selecting this one. But the fact remains. I got a bad haircut at Innovations Salon in Simpsonville, SC. And beware of a stylist who turns your chair away from the mirror to hide their mistakes. I found that my hair grows and looks better with this. However, it's a separate certification, and most people don't have it. A google, yelp and deva curl search lead me here. A nice quaint spot, which you can't see of the main road, so drive slow when looking for the sign that directs you behind a building. It right after the Mexican restaurant. Here, you can expect the use of deva curl products and... innersense(and other stuff too but I didn't care for them like I do innersense) innersense is one of my favorite, cruelty free, small business, awesome curl products. My hair looked great after leaving and I will be back for more curl love. For the curl ladies wondering, I have fine 3b/c curls and she took care of them. Parking: tiny spot, but with an appointment, there shouldn't be many outside.
