I was ready to cut off my hair because the highlights I had put in several months ago were changing to a very unattractive shade of orange, and the hair that had been treated was unmanageable. Evelyn suggested a wash treatment and conditioning, the end result was a beautiful hair color completely removing every trace of the brassy shade, and soft, manageable hair. Thoroughly disappointing. This salon came from a recommendation from someone who had a great experience. I made an appointment...three haircuts on myself and two hours later I left not because I was satisfied but because of frustration. I told my stylist what I wanted-a wedge high in the back sloping to the front where the longest was shoulder length. My hair length was no issue since I was asking for a drastic cut with about 8-10 inches off depending on area. The first cut was a bob with the slope on the side starting around my ear. There was an obvious stop and slope. Showed her the pic of what I wanted and was told she'd have to go a bit shorter to make it work. Told her to go for it since I did not like the haircut at all. Second cut was still not a slope from back to front. It was better, but the slope still had an obvious stop on the sides separating it from the bob she originally cut. At this point the owner/manager (not sure which) stepped in. Showed her the picture and she took over a bit showing my stylist what I asked for and how to do it. After cutting a bit, she told my stylist to finish. The end result was better but still not good. My longest layer is to my chin-not my shoulder. My husband had to straighten the back since it was crooked and we had to cut some random long strands from the top of my head that were very obviously hanging longer than the rest of my hair. The blending in the back still needs work. You can still see some of the shelves cut. I kept mentioning it to the stylist and pointing out specific areas. She would work on it some and after the upteenth time, I just said it was ok because I was tired of being there, wanted to leave, and I could tell my daughter was ready to leave and was getting hungry/antsy. I did not want to deal with a meltdown on top of this experience I was having. Needless to say--super unhappy with my cut. The pics attached show the unevenly cut back and a FEW of the longer hairs. I didn't think to take a picture until after I had started fixing it so it actually looks BETTER in these pictures. My daughter's cut was okay, but I asked for hers to be just past her shoulders and indicated with my fingers where to cut. Hers is still almost to the middle of her back (pic uploaded to show the "just past her shoulders" length. I wasn't going to make her go through what I did so I let it slide. I just paid and left. Update: Aydee contacted me and offered to fix my hair. Went in today and she did a fabulous job cleaning it up and making everything straight and blended. She was super nice. Although still shorter than I originally wanted, I love my hair now. read more

Best color specialist, hair cuts and styling. Very appealing and clean salon. Everyone is very friendly and listens to what style you want or they can recommend different styles if you wish. I see Aydee at this salon and I have chased her from two others and she always goes above and beyond. As a working mother (and a mother of two boys that are 6 and 8) that NEVER want to EVER spend 3 hours at the hair place with their mother, she has squeezed me in and come early stayed late and we have done so many styles. I work in a professional atmosphere so we do high lights and low lights and change cuts often and I am the lady that brings pictures of JLO!!! She laughs and some how she gets me to that color! She not only accommodates with scheduling (she is also a working mother of 3) but she also does an amazing job! I have on two occasions had my hair done at other salons and both times I have been disappointed by the lack of detail- both costing me almost double her prices. I wasn't going to make a review, but after talking it through with some friends, figured others should know. We came here with two Groupons (about $125) for myself and another person, spent over four hours in the salon, and left after swiping for $600 for us both. My hair was not properly highlighted (highlights were various shades of white, blond, light brown and bright orange), and the treatment that was done on my hair left the ends extremely frizzy and damaged after I showered a day later. Had to re-dye the front part of my hair at another salon two days later, because it looked an absolute mess after a wash. On top of that - we had been told that longer hair meant for more expensive dye and toner ($40) - but weren't explicitly told that EACH dye and EACH toner for longer hair were $40 apiece (so - $160 total tacked on to the price). In retrospect, can't really figure out why the entire experience took so long. The ladies there were very nice, of course, but will definitely not be coming back here again. read more

She is great on recommendations on what you should do for up-keeping of your investment in your hair. I love the attention to detail she pays on you, in and out of her chair. I brought in a couple of pictures of how I wanted my hair to look, an Aydee was able to remove all of my damaged split ends and give me the cut that I wanted. She really listened to me and didn't try to convince me to go out of my comfort zone or get extra services that I wasn't ready for, and she even helped to teach me about what she was doing and why she was doing it. aydee does great work, such patience as i, 71, tried to explain what i wanted and did geat. first time had to red, but i was not good at saying how i wanted, she re did it with out charge and has been right on ever since. i have followed her from webster to texas city to south shore harbor and she is worth the trip. read more
