My first experience was okay, no complaints, maybe because I used a groupon and it was years ago. This time I didn't buy the groupon, only because I thought those things were one time uses. They are not so stay woke yelp friends. I called ahead to make an appointment for my Tweenager, 10 going on 30. She picked out an edgy asymmetrical style that I don't believe just anyone can do it. I did not want it butchered as she had beautiful long locks. I expressed my desire of having someone being able to do it and they had someone in mind. Christel did an outstanding job. Spending hours at a salon watching my daughter get half her head razor cut is not my idea of fun, normally. I in no way wanted to rush perfection. My daughters excitement and the radical change before me was so inspiring to document. I also wanted to be done up, so I made arrangements to come back and get some red low-lights in my hair. My makeover took much longer and the result no where as fun but appropriate for a mommy who sometimes wants to be bad. I love it. read more

I've come here for both hair and makeup and I've not been let down. I finally feel like I've found my hair person since moving back to Houston in 2016. Meghann has done my hair twice and she is such a friendly and informative stylist! I feel so comfortable with having her color and style my hair. She's a color specialist, gives great advice and breaks down exactly why this color or highlight will do this and how it will look over time. I absolutely love her and would follow her if she decides to part ways with TnT. They have a great make up artist as well. Can't remember her name but she did an excellent make up job and I even got fake lashes for the first time. One side of my hair is off from the other One side of my hair is thicker than the other so I do notice this with most cuts but this time its extreme. Hair stylist styled my hair with dryer and round brush. Looked good. I noticed a little difference but I felt I could live with it. Washed my hair 4 days later and straightened. It was very noticeable a large blunt section on one side and not the other. I feared going to fix it as it was already too short. I thought her way of styling with round brush would help. I ordered a blow-dry and round brush. Got that in, washed and styled. 2 days after that I just decided I needed to see if the salon could fix it. Because I had wanted more than a week to decide and try styling options I was told it could be as much as full price to re cut. Manager put me on hold when I asked for specific price and then after a few minutes on hold she picked up and hung up on me. I was told before she hung up on me that within 2 weeks my hair could have grown so drastically that it would need a whole new cut at full price. I took my time debating on if I could live with it and avoid possibility of walking out with even shorter hair or seeing if I could blow out just like she did before she cut my dry hair. I could not blow out like the salon. I couldn't live with it. I tried and was told full price because I took over a week. Lol read more

I purchased a Groupon to get a consultation, hair cut, Keratin treatment and styling for only $34. It was too good of a deal to pass up! And I'm so glad I bought it. I made an appointment with Diana. She was such a doll! She was very warm and friendly. And she really took her time working on my hair. To have all of this done, it only took a little over an hour. And I have A LOT of hair. Everyone was very courteous that assisted me. The salon was very clean. And I must say everyone that worked there was very attractive and stylish! I made my appointment on Halloween so everyone was dressed up and looking festive. Overall, this was a great experience! I really liked Diana's personality and I was very happy with my haircut! The Keratin treatment made my hair so soft even after washing it. I highly recommend purchasing this Groupon! Awesome deal! read more

1st time Massage done ever (by a professional)! Great experience. My girlfriend and I both went, we had to book in advance, and I almost didn't want to go, but I'm glad I did! My girlfriend had Alisha, and I had Donna. We both left happy and relaxed. I did not have any clue what to expect for the Hot Stone / 1 hr massage, but Donna was very understanding and has a great / friendly personality so I was able to relax from the start. She was very professional and did great. The facility and vibes of the facility were great and the massage area had a good ambiance. Thanks for the relaxing massage Donna! I got my hair done for years at TNT salon several years ago and recently needed my hair done with highlights and lowlights so I went to TNT concept salon for an appointment with Misty who was listed as a color specialist. First off, TNT uses the words color specialist in order to charge ALOT more! Well I have to say she's not much of a specialist! I told her what I wanted and showed her pics. I'm a natural light strawberry blonde and wanted to just cover the grey. She insisted that coloring my roots and highlights would be best. She showed me the color swatch and said she would add blonde to it to make it even lighter, cover the roots (which I had never colored in my life!) and then do highlights. Well, my roots turned out brand new copper penny red! Not light strawberry blonde! She proceeded to cut my hair and before showing me the cut for approval, she curled it hiding the majority of the horrendous color! She said don't panic, it'll fade in a few washes! I called the next morning for her to fix it, I went in an she said because I used dawn dish soap hoping to strip the color she couldn't highlight again to help blend and tone the color down as it would cause severe damage and hair breakage so she re-dyed my roots and now they are super dark auburn with root color over 2" wide! With the rest of my hair being light strawberry blonde! 5 days later I've been able to get my hair fixed properly and exactly like I wanted from another salon and great stylist that charges half the money! I will NEVER return and hope y'all don't either! read more

We also had to give our credit card for there new policy, if u Cancel without giving proper notice u will have your Credit card charge 1/2 of what u would have paid for there service. I've been a loyal client at this salon for years, and when my usual stylist left, I asked for an experienced cutter who could handle problem hair. I was kept waiting for over an hour. Finally in the chair, I asked for a few inches off my existing style, but she couldn't get the layers right. She ironed my hair repeatedly until it stuck straight up, even after I warned against it. She kept cutting, over and over, shorter and shorter, until 8 inches were gone. She argued with me, saying she had done what I asked, all evidence to the contrary. I put a stop to it even though it still wasn't done right, and I left frustrated and angry. To the salon's credit, they did not charge me for this fiasco, but that's not enough. I'm still walking around looking like I cut it myself blindfolded, and that incompetent stylist is still cutting hair. I'm doomed to a ponytail until this mess grows out. Whatever you do, don't let "Rosie" come near you with anything sharp. Give her a broom or let her shampoo, but that's it. read more

Top stylist Kelly as she emphasized ... refused service to me she first said to me you do know I'm top of the line so it's going to cost 95 dollars instead of 30 to do your daughters haircut at first I was like whattt yes she said because I'm a top stylist so then I thought we've already canceled plans and booked this haircut so sure let's do it! Then she walks away and comes back and says I really don't have time to do it I thought it would be a 20 minute cut but she has a lot of hair... now I'm feeling some kinda weird and it just snapped my daughter has mixed hair she didn't WANT to do it in the first place and thought maybe the price increase would get me to leave but it didn't because I've always paid for good service... Mark.....need I say more.... I needed a simple cap cut over very long hair which really was not even in need of a trim because it was healthy. I went to Mark upon a recommendation of Ashley/Alicia? who recently moved to Paul Mitchell in Indiana. I was reassured he would do a great job. I think he did not even know what 'a cap cut' was (I found later Paul Mitchell calls it a 90 degree? or some other ridiculous proprietary label they have for a basic cut) even though it was simply following the previous cut I had. If you value your hair length move on to another hairdresser, I had a lot and now I don't. I had about 1 inch of color remaining in my grown out salt and pepper hair that was way down past my bra in the back. I told him I needed an inch or 2 off the back (no big deal) and the same off the top following the previous 'cap cut' parts in my hair. He didn't have a clue about the top spending 10 minutes fidgeting with some feathering scissors until I finally just told him to stop, he was done, paid and left (even left him a tip stupid a$$ that I am because I didn't realize the damage until waaaay later as he never showed me the back). He had cut AT LEAST 6 inches off the back of my hair. He asked how did I want it shaped and I said 'follow the way it had been previously cut' (which was straight across, not realizing it was already past that point), I ended up with hair in front that was about 2 inches past my shoulder bones and the back was basically in an A-line 5 inches shorter (I'm sorry does Paul Mitchell have another label for A-line?). What a Joke!! and what part of 'trim 1-2 inches off the bottom' didn't he understand? It's been 3 months and 2 corrective cuts later and Maybe, in 4 months I will have my length back, and my hair grows fast. Also, some people compliment the massage...Wow...he gave me a Very Painful head massage during the washing, So painful I had to ask him to stop because he was hurting me...seriously, I don't know what his problem was. And he has one. He's just a beginner in the business and already has an attitude! I was mislead to believe Mark was a graduate and....If that's what Paul Mitchell students are made of, avoid them at all cost, one of my 'corrections' at the Paul Mitchell Academy was no better with the supervisor overseeing it. If you go to Mark and he doesn't show you the back of your haircut. BEWARE! read more

I have always loved TNT so when they opened the concept salon, I was very excited. I've been a client there since they opened and even when I lived two hours away, I would still make a trip here when I needed my hair done. I've had a lot of stylists over the years and I've never had bad service. I did need a color correction once but they handled it quickly and took great care of me. I've been seeing a stylist Bailey for several months, who is fantastic. She is excellent with highlighting and coloring and always makes my hair look amazing! I used to hear older women complain that no one listens to them. I know how they feel. I went to this shop via a Groupon deal, and I was booked with a stylist, Breann. I had a photo of the hair cut/style that I aspired to, and I had let my hair dry naturally so she would be able to see the natural curl and texture of my hair. I asked if my hair could be cut to approximate this short, curly style in the photo. What I walked out with was not even the same species! I looked like Andy Warhol! It was way too short, and all the natural curl had been blown out of it. She did an acceptable job on the color, but the overall look literally made me cry. It was an old-lady hair helmet. The manager tried to placate when I called a short time later, after I got home and looked at the mess. She urged me to come back. I did, and she, too, did not really listen to me. Why should she? I was just an old lady with a hair helmet. I won't go back. read more

So I went in for a full head of highlights, came out with uneven and more like partial highlights so i went back and she totally destroyed my hair and i have like no highlights now. Awful haircut and poor customer service. It felt rushed and I felt the stylist just didn't care at all or try to listen to my request. I tried to call the other location to see if they could correct it after telling them I didn't feel comfortable returning to "concepts", but they said I'd have to pay full price for it, they didn't try to keep me or suggest I speak to a manager, they just hung up. I paid close to $200 for a cut and color that just isn't worth it, I will not be giving either salon another cent. read more

I came to this salon for a solid year before deciding that I hated it and wanted to do a review. I used each stylist (3 different ladies) at least a few times before deciding to try someone new (and hopefully having a better experience!). Never happened! I used to have long, red hair. I went every six weeks to maintain highlights, layers, etc. I normally spent 3+ hours each time, which I grew to dread! The highlights and color were NEVER what I asked for: the highlights were thin and stringy (when I'd asked for thick and blocky), and on top of that- they always turned out yellow! Even with the toner! On top of all that- MY HAIR WAS EVENTUALLY SO FRIED, THAT I WAS FORCED TO CHOP IT ALL OFF!!! If you value your long locks- do not go here!!! I even asked two of the ladies about the fried hair and split ends, bought the $60 Awapui shampoo, plus other products- and nothing made it better! I spent a minimum of $250 EVERY SINGLE TIME!! They even screwed up my daughter's Mohawk- How do you screw up a Mohawk, and then charge me more than $100?! She ended up having to shave her head completely! Finally quit going here and tried another place- exactly what I wanted (cut/style/color), bought the recommended Biolage products (which actually worked!), and spent less than $40. Will never go to another TNT in my life- I'm baffled that the stylists completed 2 yrs of cosmetology, plus an extra year to learn the "TNT way"- and still managed to absolutely destroy my hair! I was happy they could take me in at the last minute & Amanda said she had time to do my highlights as well as my cut so I was very happy. I hadn't had highlights in a couple years & was really looking forward to it. When I arrived, I showed Amanda a picture of how I wanted my hair cut with a one exception. We got to talking & before I knew it, she was done. She never asked me what color I wanted my highlights to be & she totally did the opposite of what I asked her not to do around my ears. And she whacked my bangs too short. I was very dissatisfied. And it cost me $97 to get a haircut I was ashamed to walk out the door with. A couple years ago, i went there & i had another screw up. I will never go back. I'm sticking with Mary Ann at Visible Changes. She charges more, but she's worth it. read more

I absolutely LOVE this salon. I have been seeing Gloria at this location for close to two years now and every single time she has given me what I want AND more! I've gone blonde, brunette, and everything in between with her and each time she is careful with my hair and coaches me into how to style and care for my hair to keep it in healthy tip top shape. She is literally the only person I trust in the Houston area to touch my hair now and actually listens to me and remembers things about me which other hair stylist in the past didn't even if I was a regular. Professional atmosphere in the salon, no bickering stylists. Everyone is friendly to one another. I brought my 6 month old daughter here and even when she started crying, all the stylist who were around were very understanding and helpful to calm her down. I just love this place. STYLIST WAS A JOKE. I went with my best friend to get her hair colored here by a stylist named Baylee, she previously told the stylist she wanted to go platinum blonde, showed her pictures and everything. (she also has used box dye before that lifted her hair to the blonde she wanted) she went in having a not too dark brown, the stylist did not previously make the client aware that her hair "will not lift to the blonde she wanted without completely damaging it" it was not until she was already done and blow drying the hair that we mentioned that is not what she wanted, the color is more of a ashy brown than a platinum blonde, and she continued to charge us $160 for something she didn't ask for, we could've bought a $3 box hair dye and done better ourselves, after complaining the stylist continued to repeat "i assumed she knew her hair wasn't going to get that light" we will NOT be coming back. read more

I have been to this salon and to the other location many times and this visit was the worst. First of all, this salon is marketed as an affordable salon. There was nothing affordable about this visit. Their stated price for a blow-dry is $25.00, not the $35.00, I was charged. I understand that longer hair and or thicker hair would be additionally charge however my hair is fine and not typically considered long. Additionally, many short cuts were taken to dry my hair. What professional these days uses a paddle brush to dry hair. I also asked the stylist to only use a heat protectant and she continued to spray what looked like hair spray all over my hair making it oily. Who knows what this product actually was. I suppose since she took so many shortcuts in the drying process this spray would defect any frizz. This salon is not the DryBar where the experience of the stylist and ambiance of the bar merits this charge. I am very disappointed in how my hair turned out and feel as if I was taken advantage of. I expressed my concerns to the person who checked me out and she didn't bother to offer to call for a manager. I even told her I was going to submit a review here. I just read the person above me got a hair cut, blow-dry and Keratin treatment all for $35.00. All I got was a crappy blow-dry for $35.00 ( not including tip). read more

I have been going this salon for over a year now. I also take both of my daughters here. I would say this salon is mid priced. I have definitely seen salons with higher prices and there are too many that are cheaper. I believe you get what you pay for - we had been to many salons where the haircuts are cheaper and always had a problem with hair cuts and customer service at those places. Tnt concept has always made me feel welcome and Lindsey has always provided excellent hair cuts. She is super sweet and remembers me and my kiddos from one visit to the next. I don't know how she does it with as many clients as she has. I have asked her to make some adjustments to my hair after cutting it and she had no problem taking the time to make sure I was happy before I left! Lindsey as well as the rest of the staff is always super professional and nice to everyone in the salon. The salon is always clean and professional looking as well. read more
