Not sure how knowledgeable staff is and may need to work on engaged/ customer service if they plan to retain repeat business because it was kind of awkward. No interest in learning about the customer unless I asked questions about her, she wasn't interested it seemed or social. I had booked a 2 hour express color with an experienced stylist and kindly explain what I needed. Wanting to go dark like my natural roots and cover my blonde after weeks over growing it out and needed a reshape my on layers. She ended up deciding that a gloss would cover my blonde, applied, processed laying my head in a bowl for quite awhile without any much explanation. Brushed out, did a basic trim on my ends and declined a styling after drying. Color wasn't dark as my natural, pretty red which is typical for gloss, just disappointed with how it just seemed like there was no effort. Appointment was just over an hour long and cost $100, no tip was an option on my bill so I assume that she added whatever she thought was appropriate. Needless to say, I know gloss will fade after a few washes and definitely recommend better customer service, more dedicated to the services provided and being transparent on cost.

Never will I go anywhere else! All of the nail techs are all SO sweet, professional, talented & efficient. They will get my daughter & I in & out within an hour for a dip manicure & pedicure (never have we been there longer than an hour and a half). That used to be one of the most frustrating things about the other nail salons I went to, it would take hours, either waiting or for them to actually do a one color dip manicure, but not here! I searched on the Paul Mitchell Locator and found Rivers Edge Hair Studio. I was super surprised to see a real Paul Mitchell salon in Dunkerton IA. I instantly had comfort the quality was going to be good as I've never been disappointed with a Paul Mitchell salon, but I felt like they went above and beyond plus being super affordable. I'm used to salons charging extra for blow drying and even the mention of a style will cost extra. Maybe it was because I was getting my hair done for my birthday but she blow dried and curled my hair. I felt like a million bucks when I left. Thanks for being awesome!
