I arrived right when they opened on a Sunday in hopes that no one booked an appointment first thing in the morning. When I arrived, I asked the young man working there if they accepted walk-ins - yes; is anyone available now? - no; Ok, is there any availability later today? - maybe; Do you know around what time maybe? - 3pm, but I'm not sure; Alright, should I just come back after 3 or can I book something now? - I don't know, they'll probably be all booked by then. At this point I just walked away, they obviously didn't want my business. I understand I'm a walk-in so can't get preferential treatment over their customers with an appointment, and I get that I have no idea of how busy they are. But he already told me there might be an opening after a certain time and didn't bother to check who was free, thus not allowing my any services. This is at 9am, he literally just opened the doors to the shop, and no other customers were there. If you're fully booked, just say you're fully booked. I can understand that. Again, I can't attest to how they do hair as I wasn't even given the opportunity to even get my foot through the door. One star for the bad service by the front desk. I know this doesn't change much for their regular customers, but hopefully new customers can bring their business some where they are wanted.

Headmasters do a £20 stand by appointment service, just ring an hour before you want it done and they try to fit you in. They do warn that you don't get to pick your stylist. They don't warn that you might get a jaw droppingly gorgeous blonde with epic biceps that looks like he belongs on a catwalk or a surfboard. So laid back, he was sitting across the street in a doorway having a fag while I was getting my hair washed. I was a little bemused and terrified through the whole experience. I was never entirely sure that he hadn't spent his career to this date in a poodle parlour. He ruffled my hair a lot, excessively so, it was quite funny actually. He spent an awful long time gazing at me, sniping away and staring at me. No-one this good looking has ever looked at me this intensely. He cut and cut and cut, then got out a razor. No one has ever used a razor on my hair in my entire life! This haircut is precise! F#@k it's short! I'm not sure how he ever thinks I will style it. Seriously he might be the worst hairdresser in the world or the best, am too dazzled to decide. Headmasters lose a star because he ghd'd my hair instead of blow drying it straight, which is the laziest thing to do. A good hairdresses can dry it poker straight. The staff are all young and fun and friendly, you will get a great cut here.

I was a regular here for a while and was always happy with the service I received. My hairdresser at the time couldn't understand me completely well (speaking in a fast Glaswegian accent doesn't help) but she was always friendly and bright. It's probably best to bring pictures with you but B:ZAR also have a selection of great Japanese and Western fashion magazines to look through for your next hair inspiration. I am definitely going to go back at some point. The price is really reasonable and you even get a Shiatsu head and shoulder massage which is a really nice bonus. If you're looking for something a little different, B:ZAR is worth a visit.

Upon entering the salon, you will be greeted with a smile by the manager and offered a cup of tea or coffee in a vintage cup. After taking the first sips, your stylist will take over and begin the consultation. For me it was Silviya. The consultation is the most important part of the appointment and determines what the outcome will be. She asked about how often I cut my hair, what products I use and what my hair-heros are. Having the hairdresser asking to see pictures of the 'idols' herself rather than you trying to show them is a huge step ahead for me. Kudos for that! After my talking, Silviya took over and explained her intentions and why her decision of style would benefit my daily routine and match my hair texture. She clearly nailed it today! After a relaxing wash in the sink, Silviya literally took more than an hour on my head. She was cutting my hair confidently, with attention to detail. In between snips she was showing me the back and asking permission to keep on shortening it. It was clear from the beginning, but now confirmed. She LISTENS!!!! A very rare and precious trait that the majority of the hairstylists do not have. As for the price? Silviya is a Junior Stylist at the salon and her service costs £30. Absolutely value for money! *Don't forget! If you enjoy your experience as I did, please tip accordingly. I don't really get the tipping culture in the UK, but all I know is as simple as this: you enjoy, you tip! UP: - A unisex salon. I was booked in with a Russian gent called Edward. I have extremely dry, curly hair. Most stylists want to chop inches off and layers in to my hair in a bid to make it more manageable. Not Edward. He recognised that my hair is extremely thick and that layers would make it more unmanageable. He knew that cutting 5 inches off wouldn't make it less dry than it already is. He simply did what was best, which was just cut an inch off. After I get my hair washed at salons, it normally takes 2/3 stylists no joke to brush the knots out. No jokes. Not with Edward. He had it brushed out and trimmed in the space of 30 mins, and even though I didn't request a blow dry, he gave me one anyway and didn't charge. Can't recommend this place enough, I've been to a lot of the top salons in London and this place definitely did the best job of cutting my hair.

I walked past this place twice before realising it was there, as it also shares a storefront with a souvenir shop. That is a feature that I am still not used to with London salons, the coffee or tea service while you wait. Kind of glad I didn't have to bother saying no several times here. I was seated and showed the stylist my photo of the shoulder length hair I wanted. He talked over a couple things with me, then brought me over to have my hair washed, conditioned and a quick head massage, then I was brought back to the chair and he got to work. I was expecting to be seated for an hour, but my hair was quickly chopped to my desired style (simple layering for movement, shoulder length cut - all done very well), and then my hair was dried straight. This took longer than the cut. In between there was a bit of the standard chitchat, suggestions for hair colouring to cover my premature greys, and I was out within 20 minutes. Overall the speedy service was exactly what I needed, and I have a great haircut. It's not a luxurious spa-like salon, but it does the job and does it well. Will definitely go back.

Booking experience - as an expat living in Singapore traveling to the UK for an occasion, I booked online via the Yelp appointment messaging function. It was my first time using this feature, and I was so happy with the experience. The salon was so responsive (living up to their 100% responsiveness rate), which made it really easy for me to book even with timezones and my busy Pre-travel schedule. I even booked in my boyfriend (who was traveling from the US) for an appointment! The service - from start to finish, everyone I interacted with at the salon was incredibly nice and respectful, both to the customers and each other which made for a great experience. They also had me come in a day early to test the toner for allergies, which showed me the level of care/thought they put in, and I was able to align on the plan for my hair with my fabulous stylist Hannah. It was clear from that convo that Hannah knows what she's doing with blonde highlights AND curly hair - I always ask for recommendations from my stylists (trust the experts!) without me even telling her, she did exactly as I have had done by my hair stylist in the US who had been doing my hair for 5+ years: a mix of blondes to give dimension, extra of the light blonde and layers around my face to frame it, and some light layers in the back for crown volume. The color/cut - Hannah did a fantastic job with both! The color turned out amazingly natural looking, just the right level warmth, and some shine (which is difficult to get with my dry curly hair). The layers at the face were exactly the angle I like them, and I can see a slight difference in crown volume from the layers in the back. The price - for the level of service and quality of cut/color, the prices were very reasonable! I had gone to a much more expensive salon in London over the holidays, as I was nervous about a bad result (charging £60 for a blow out, which I was surprised to find wasn't included in the cut and color), and found that I like my hair from Feel just as much as that salon and actually preferred the service of Feel (much warmer and more personal). Oh and my Boyfriend (who has Long curly hair) also had a great experience with the salon and his stylist, Tom - and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable the salon was! I watched Cormack (?) cut my husbands hair and was very impressed with his knowledge and attention to detail. When he was finished I asked if he could fit me in for a cut and I was in luck, he could. He took his time and showed his superior knowledge of hair and gave me a fabulous cut! I only wish that I could have him cut my hair always. The salon isn't mobile like it says in the title of this review, but instead it is housed in a building and is called Andy Monzer Salon. Both my husband and I would highly recommend Cormack for a haircut.
