There is free parking. For the free trial class they offer a discount if you enroll within 24 hour in a step down approach with less of a discount as time passes. The commute alone was extremely difficult--about an hour during rush hour traffic--which made getting to class very stressful. When my daughter told me she no longer wanted to continue, I contacted the studio hoping we could come to some kind of reasonable agreement since she had only been enrolled for two weeks. Instead, I was told I was required to give 30 days notice. What was frustrating is that I do not recall signing or even receiving the studio's policies beforehand. In fact, the policies were not sent to me until February 6th, after I had already emailed them on February 2nd about canceling. The most upsetting part of the experience happened during my daughter's last class. She asked what time the class was going to end, and the instructor/director sarcastically told her "bye." My daughter is seven years old, and she came out of the class crying because she felt embarrassed and hurt. No child should be spoken to that way by an adult, especially in a children's activity where kids are supposed to feel supported and encouraged. I understand that studios have policies, but there should also be transparency and some level of understanding when a child has only attended for a short time. Between the lack of clear communication about policies and the way my daughter was treated, this experience was extremely disappointing.

Dance LA is a godsend. After a bad experience with a different dance studio in the area, we decided…read moreto give Dance LA a try. What a difference great teachers make! These teachers REALLY know how to work with children, and foster an environment of joy and creativity where all students feel supported and appreciated.

It's so close, convenient and located in a plaza with over a dozen nail salons and a sprinkling of food/drink places. A perfect plaza to kill time for a parent who is waiting for their child that is taking dance classes in these studios. For those who would like to be present as their kid takes class, these studios also have a great seating area to observe the lessons. They have just recently expanded classes for older kids and adults. A great way for the adults to move their bodies, get their groove back on, and burn some calories. To top it off, DanceLA just opened up another studio two doors down to accommodate more classes. The recent open house showcased this beautiful space. This place has friendly, encouraging, and supportive dance teachers who are skilled in teaching students of all ages. There is also ample parking in the adjacent structure. Local, reasonably priced, with friendly, kind, staff members, is a winner in my book. Check this place out! Whether you're a youngster just starting out, a former dancer looking to move again, or an older newbie that wants to move their body for fun, DanceLA is the place for you. Check them out and support local businesses.

The nurturing environment gave her the confidence to adjust to school easily, and she's grown so much both in her love for dance and her independence. Not only has this studio helped my daughter build confidence and independence, but it's also where she's formed beautiful friendships. She looks forward to every class, and I can see how she's is Blossoming. I also want to mention that my other two daughters have gone through this same experience as well, and they've had the same incredible growth, gaining confidence, independence, and a true love for dance. It's been a wonderful journey for all of us. I'm so grateful for the amazing Dance teachers. Thank you Once again DANCE IMAGE

Feels like there's a money grab whenever possible. Strict dressing rules for the younger kids was off putting but tolerable. The worst part is the teacher we had. I can't speak to how other teachers were but Jessica was not a good one. She consistently didn't help correct students on proper movement and provided little instruction. It was like she was robotically gliding through the classes and the children would get confused or bored. I doubt any kid learned a thing about dancing in that class. Only good thing I liked was that my daughter found it ok to be on her own without me in a class setting which will help her feel more independent when it comes to school time. Another scary thing are the stairs to go into the studio. The hand rails have huge gaps that people, especially kids, can easily fall through.
