After being kept waiting for over 30 minutes beyond my appointment scheduled time I suggested to Hannah that the next time she was running late she could text me. She proceeded to totally freak out and start screaming at me that perhaps I should find another salon. There were other customers there that witnessed the whole thing and I have never been so humiliated in my life. I have never witnessed such unprofessional behavior. What a horrible salon. Service was horrible. Hanna the "manager" curses way too much. So unprofessional. I came in with a friend and both of our services were horrible. Besides Hanna, the rest of the employees are not licensed to do nails. Us as customers has rights to ask to see their licenses. Usually on display somewhere in plain sight so us customers to see. I asked to see them and she flaked off and gave me an attitude for the rest of my time there. The salon appears cleans and so does the utensils but don't let the looks deceives you. There are no autoclaves to sterilize their instruments. Besides a uv light machine that apparently sterilizes them. Wouldn't return here if it was the last nail salon on earth. read more

I needed to find a nail place in the area and I've had two friends try Hale. Both friends had very different reviews, so I tried for myself. The first time I went, I brought my boyfriend and we both got pedicures. It was amazing. The pedicure was so nice and relaxing and carefully done. The polish on my nails has lasted over a month with no gel top coat or anything! I also tried dip powder for the first time. The dip powder here is obviously great quality because for once my nails aren't chipping and breaking left and right. My nails are also growing soooo fast. The dip powder for me lasts about 3 weeks before I need to get new ones. I love this salon. The staff is nice and friendly and their facility is clean! Highly recommend. read more

Save yourself. "Manager" Hanna cussing up a storm from the moment my friends and I walked in. Came out of the nail salon with a finger infection and terrible bubbles on our nails???? "Manager" Hanna texted me from the number I gave for call backs to ask how I liked my nails because she knew her and her staff did the most awful job. Worst nail salon I've ever been to. So slow, took 1 hour and 20 minutes for a gel manicure. He put the polish on very sloppy, some nails had too much and some weren't even totally covered. Also 15 minutes for a toe polish change. Thought the lady never applied polish in her life. read more

Was looking for a new salon near my boyfriends house and stumbled across this location. I was unhappy with the service I had received from a different salon in this area so I was nervous trying another place. So glad I found this place. Jimmy made me feel very welcome, introduced his self, explained everything he was doing to correct my previous nightmare. I was not rushed in and out like other salons. Been going to the salon for a few months. The owner is the only person who touched my nails. Week after my last gel powder session , my finger starts throbbing and thru the clear gel I see white mold underneath it. The next day, my whole finger was throbbing and the whole area around the nail bed was red. After doing research , I found out it was caused by unsanitary settings and improperly laid gel powder. Never again. I spent 120 plus a 20dollar tip for crappy service. 1. They sat us down to do pedicure and it literally lasted 7 minutes. It was like a factory and they rushed our feet. I felt so skimped. I let that go. Then the lady burned my moms lip waxing her, didn't do my eyebrows the way I wanted. As a matter of fact she made them look worse. Then they gave me a different person for my nails and when I asked the guy to paint all the way down to my cuticle he got snippy with me. I was so turned off. Then I went to pay and was still going to tip because I always worked on tips and would of felt too bad. They didn't let me put the tip on the card!!! Never again. I won't ever go back because I went to relax and just left feeling ripped off and disrespected. read more

don't usually write reviews unless amazing or awful but after checking the reviews here felt I needed to write something. I am a summer resident on Brigantine and wasn't too thrilled with the nail salons there. One time a few years ago I was visiting the hospital and stopped in to see if I could quickly get a manicure. Well I've been making the trip ever since. Always a professional job and can't remember a time I had to wait. They even remember my name even though it's just a few times a summer....Gels last forever! read more

I take my disabled mother to this salon frequently. We usually just do a regular manicure with the occasional pedicure. I'm not from the area but it is near the nursing home where she resides. I stopped in to see if they were busy. There were two technicians sitting there with no customers and when I asked if there was an opening the man picked up the book and said an appointment was coming in. I left and called five minutes later and said I was looking for an appointment now and was told to come right in. I told the lady who I was and hung up. I'm not sure why we were denied service I always sit with my mom and tip for the service. I'm still shocked at how we were treated. Manicures only take like 20 minutes and now I will tell everyone about the treatment we received. read more

The owner Hanna comes off as a nice person but she is not. Acrylic nails always fall off and she is rude when you ask her to put them back on. I do not recommend going there. I have had some good experiences, but mostly terrible. I recently went to another place to get my nails fixed and they were so shocked as to how bad my nails were done before. I've never been treated so poorly. This sad excuse for a nail salon should be shut down immediately. The owner screamed at me and called the police because another staff member let me know they took a card they did not take. I had never been here before but made a last minute decision to get my nails done. I only had my American Express card on me and when I walked in and sat down I immediately asked the woman "Do you take American Express?" and she said yes. When I got to the front a large man informed me she never told me yes because she did not speak English. He demanded I give him my license, and when I explained I was not comfortable with that the owner came out and started screaming. In addition to all this the nails I had done were uneven, and my cuticles were a mess. My hands were covered in nail polish as well and while I tried showing this to the owner, she told me that my nails were fine and I just did not want to pay her. I took out my license to prove a point and she took it from my hand, moved when I tried to take it back and took a picture of it on here phone as she tried threatening me with it. She then told me she had a cop friend as if that should have scared me. Even though I told her multiple times I had other cards I could use, she did not want to listen. She told me I should have just known not to speak to the woman doing my nails. Although while I was getting them done by someone who did not speak English, everyone who did speak English was sitting around doing absolutely nothing.
