This playground is one of my favorite in the area. It seems to be on the newer side, as the…read moreequipment is in great shape. There's an area for younger kids, and an area for older kids; and both sections have robust options. (That's not always the case!) There's also ample shade here. I cannot stress how delightful that is, especially in the summer. There's an area of musical instruments, which I've seen at a handful of other playgrounds, but, again, it's in pretty great shape here. The sand area is relatively clean. At least for now! It's also close to downtown in case you have any errands you need to do on your way.

This is a very nice playground. It's an interactive space with plenty of different areas to explore…read morefor children that may have different interests. There are musical instruments, swings and multiple structures to climbs, as well as a small sand park area. Many of the structurs have ages printed on them. I would suggest that parents definitely watch smaller kids on some of the structures so they don't hurt themselves. There's a structure with rolling pieces and I would definitely see a kid falling and hurting themselves or getting a finger pinched while moving across. The swingset has swings for different stages and abilities which I love. People form the community gave back to build this wonderful park and it's a great addition to the neighborhood. Be careful walking across the street. The multiple stop signs make drivers impatient and they speed up almost as if to scare you out of the way, despite rushing to another stop sign.

Children under 36" are free and can get on rides with a full paying adult. Came here just before 11am and the place was half full. We were able to get on rides pretty much straight away. There are 11 rides in total, not all available to children under 36 inches. There are also games kids can play for $5 per go. We kept going from one ride to another. The rollercoaster takes picture as you on the ride and charges $6 for one picture or $10 for two. I bought two and realised upon paying there was a QR (digital download) option for $3 per picture. I asked the lady about it and she said "sometimes it does not work so we don't advertise it". Bought lunch in the venue as well. Chicken tenders and fries were $12.50. Also bought ice cream for $6. Not the cheapest but pretty convenient. There were also magic shows being run every couple of hours. The magician was pretty funny for the kids but after a couple of goes with the same content.. Apart from paying extra for the pictures, I had a great time and will come back again. It's a relatively cheap day out if you go on many rides. It is also a good alternative for the last two weeks of summer breaks when most camps are done for the season.

The playground it's always clean and has bathrooms. The park has Basketball courts, tables , chess and even hand bars. The park is also good for babies as there are baby swings. This park is not the best park for large dogs since there are a lot of kids running around. I would say if you keep walking down to Bronx park east there is another field with lots of space to walk around for larger dogs or even small dogs. There is a baseball field but it's a wide large park.

It was a hot day but a great day, creating memories that'll last a lifetime. There was more than enough space for chairs, a cooler and then some. Not to mention no issues with parking. Everyone that was playing handball or a variation of it came over with big smiles, remembering the days when this game was played. There's always a Debbie downer and someone who has a problem. One women who plays their all the time had issue with us drawing our board on the ground. Anyway ... still was a great day. We look forward to continuing the tradition for summer 2025.

There are pull up bars for two heights, parallel bars, three pikes I can't figure out, and three incline benches meant for leg raises. Additionally there is a basketball court, baseball diamond, four handball courts, a playground, and a few multipurpose fields to name some amenities. Close enough to Pelham Bay Park, you could conceivably do a few laps at the track and jog over here to finish off with some body weight movements. The Bronx needs more parks like Colucci!
