Welp! This is gonna sting. Our apartment laundry room is being remodeled so I came to this laundromat for the first time. Not a fan of laundromats...or else I thought! After mistaking the dryers for the washers and some confusion on how much I'll be paying, I was met with the most wonderful, helpful and sincerely kind woman, Pam. She turned all my anxiety and confusion into a very helpful tutorial on how the place works and even was beautifully kind enough to cover all my laundry expenses since it was my first time. The place is clean and the music is killer. I brought headphones just in case but forgot about them. Lets just say I was born in the 90's but my heart is in the 70's. I'm completing all my laundry faster and cheaper than at home. Pam's a keeper. She made me feel comfortable and cool at a laundromat for Pete's sake. I have not done laundry in a laundromat in years. What I can say is: this place really does deserve the 5 star reviews. They have extra large to med size washers and dryers. This place is so clean. I was taken aback by the cost per load on each machine, but if you go on Wednesday or Thursday, it's half price! There are baskets to help you load and unload. Change machines available are available. I met Pam- she was so kind, knew her regulars and was so helpful to me. If you're ever in the area and need to do a few loads: go on Wednesday or Thursday, I suggest you go early as the place really fills up, and tell Pam hello. The plaza that this place is at has very limited parking, but for the service, the cost, and quality of machines- I would return and I definitely recommend going here. I had an emergency at my apartment and saw the good reviews at this place. The facility is clean, but it can be expensive. I had four loads of laundry which cost me about 8.25 a load so like 30ish just to wash not including drying. The facility is clean but I knocked another star off because as I was loading my clothes into the wash the manager stated she raising the prices on the machines. She started manually changing the prices on each so it was even more expensive. I love this place. Every time I come it's very clean. If you need help someone is around to help you. I had an issue with the dryer today and Wendy was very hopefully with getting me into another one. I normally come on half price Wednesday / Thursday. I haven't been because of the rain. Even though I normally come when it's half priced. The prices aren't too bad on the normal days. I rather wash here than where I lived because they don't clean the machines at all. It was my first time today, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wendy was amazingly helpful! She's super nice, and was very knowledgeable when I had questions.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Give that woman a raise! The location was extremely clean, & brightly lit. There was good music, 4 mounted TV's to watch, arcade, massage chairs, and plenty of seating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner Hank came over to introduce himself, & welcome me (how sweet was that?!)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The machines themselves are solid! Three bags of laundry went into one machine to wash, and one to dry, with no problem. You can pay with coins from the change machine, physical card (getting cash back), and even tapping from your cell. All in all, while doing a chore I don't like, this was a very pleasant experience!l, and I will going back. Oh, and they have half-price days too! Wednesday/Thursday. As far as laundromats go this place is an absolute gem. They have every type of washing machine you need from small loads to extra extra large. They also have a special machine to wash and dry your sneakers to keep them looking new. Driers are easy to use and they have extra large driers that will fluff your comforter out to perfection. This laundromat isn't bad actually , they always keep it nice and clean for the most part. They even decorate for every occasion or holiday which is nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is great staff is friendly and nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] , although the only complain is the dryers ! I put it on high heat and reasonable load to dry , and after 18 minutes it still very wet ! Almost as if my clothes didn't even dry because they're not even warm at the very least ... so I have to spend almost another $1 to fully dry them and waste more time. Wanted to update my review based on the owners response. Decreased a star because you are clearly unaware of how your facility is being run. Even the worker that was there kept exiting the facility because it was SCORCHING. Unfortunately, I regret not taking pictures of the 2 rare fans placed in the facility that actually kept throwing hot air only. There was none of this supposed air circulating to the point where the doors were even left open. As to the point made about "laundromats not having AC", your point is unfounded and serves to justify the lack of cooling in your facility. I have been to various laundromats and this was by far the worst. You would expect the place to be upkept based on the cost of your machines. As to the cost of machines, only 4 machines are at the cost of $4/ under, and they are the old school machines. I scoured in disbelief the laundromat when I realized that the price bounced between $7/$9 for the other machines. As to the "card authorization", this is laughable as you should not be requiring cards to have a temporary hold over a $6 wash. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And if so, have SIGNS.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I reported this to my bank and they indicated that I was correct. You are a laundromat, not a large service store. read more

Just walked into this place at 8am on a Thursday and I'm already super pleased and impressed. I usually do my laundry at home, or at my best friend's house, but this time, I wanted to wash my bedding in a big washer to save time and, well, frankly, my bedding. Didn't feel like squishing it in and having it come out, well...squished. Walked in, completely clueless, but the manager was there at the drop off window to answer any questions. She asked what I came in for and what kind of laundry I had. I told her and she told me what I needed to do. She showed me everything--where to get detergent, where to get change, and where to wash and dry. She even told me the prices. All the washers were half off on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but cash only. Luckily they do cash back for a fee $2.95. I got the cash and she walked me through everything. She could tell I was a first timer at the laundromat There are massage chairs and arcade games to keep entertained, and she has a cool classic rock soundtrack going on. Not only is the manager helpful, she is super nice, greeting the usuals and welcoming new guests. She told me she would comp my drying since it was my first time. There are not enough positive things to say about Half Price Laundry. I have been trying different laundromats in the valley for a couple of weeks while our laundry room is being re-done and I am genuinely considering doing my laundry here even when we get our washer and dryer back in. It is spacious with multiple washer and dryer sizes, as well as a sneaker washer and dryer which I had no idea existed. There are massage chairs, snacks, arcade games, claw machines (I won a stuffed animal on my second try) detergent/softener available for purchase. They offer drop off/pick up and delivery service for an extremely reasonable price. It is clean and maintained throughout the day and the manager working was unbelievably kind, helpful and informative. They are currently taking and MATCHING donations of any amount and the funds are being used to provide access to laundry service for families in need. There is nothing more important than helping and building community and I have never seen a business create such a genuine rapport with the neighborhood and with their customers. The owner is sincere in his dedication to customer service and to giving back which makes it easy to recommend this place to everyone. A laundromat is a relatively simple concept, but when paired with cleanliness, affordability, and a commitment to community, it becomes something much more meaningful. read more

Just moved, the elevator at my apartments is temporarily down. AND the laundry room is on an upper floor. So I gave this place a whirl. Everything we own was dirty and I had about 100 loads to wash. As a busy professional, I really appreciate their pickup and delivery service. My laundry is returned to me organized and folded perfectly. They even grouped my pillow cases with the corresponding colored sheets. They use the eco-friendly non-allergenic laundry detergent that I like and let me provide my own dryer sheets. Called this location and spoke with Hank, who was very sweet and informative about the new location in Winnetka city. He mentioned Wednesday's and Thursday's are half off. I stopped by Wednesday morning and Pam, who is a sweet heart, very informative, and helped me through the process. Showed me the washers and dryers. I felt safe and confortable. Pam is such a joy to be around. This has been the best experience I've had and her positive and welcoming attitude makes me want to keep coming back. Plenty of snacks to purchase while waiting for the loads to finish. The place is so clean and spotless and the prices are affordable. I have used the drop off service two times now and thanks to Pam, everything was done perfectly and quickly. This laundromat is very clean and well run, and you do not have the problem of non-customers hanging out there. I will be bringing my laundry and using the machines as this is the only laundromat that is this clean and will run in the San Fernando Valley. There is limited parking as this is a small shopping center, but it's worth the effort! I really appreciate Pam's efforts to make this a safe and clean laundromat. This is a really nice laundromat! I don't even live in the area but I'm doing home renovations and need to make doing loads of laundry as enjoyable as possible. Lots of space, lots of machines, that work....lots of sitting areas, well lit, clean, and was designed with customers in mind which I can tell and appreciate it was built with effort and love. I recommend coming here for all laundry needs. Only minor considerations are that parking may be a little tight depending on what time you come and it was a tad hot in the facilities like maybe the ac was not working but they had lots of fans on. I have used this laundromat in person as well as the wash and fold, both drop-off and pick-up. I have been impressed with every aspect of this company's service. The laundromat itself is large, with generous spacing between rows of machines, and spotlessly clean, restrooms included. There are machines of all sizes, places to sit, and tables to sit at. There is always someone there. The machines take quarters and some take credit cards as well. When I dropped off my wash & fold load the first time, they had finished and returned what I had dropped off before I finished what I was doing on my own. I had several questions about the pick-up wash & fold services when I first tried it. Would they be willing to use the laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets I prefer if I provide them?(fragrance free, not tested on animals). Yes, no problem. Could I change the date I want the laundry yo be picked up? Of course. How do I tip the person doing the work and the driver? Notify in advance. There were others. I don't remember them all but I contacted them through the chat a few times. The owner of the company called me back each time, and very quickly. I have physical problems that make doing laundry difficult. Additionally the Landry room at our condo complex is constantly plagued by broken machines, wet floors, and sometimes laundry left in the washingn machines in dryers so that others cannot use them. The space is very cramped. The payment mechanisms fail to work properly. The prices are lower, but the number of inconveniences which make doing laundry difficult make its well worth it to spend more to go to Half Price Laundromat in person or to have the laundry picked up and returned the next day. Half Price Laundromat will also tailor an order. For example, some things go on hangers. Others don't. They are flexible if I need to change a pick-up and gracious when I get mixed up about the schedule. Hank, the owner, always calls back. I thought I had posted this review long ago. Half price is definitely a misleading name when it costs $7-10 a load... not including drying. They do have two days of the week where prices are "half price" (the normal price it actually costs to do laundry) on Wednesdays and Thursdays... By no means is this a normal or affordable laundromat. However this is definitely a well kept laundromat. All the machines are newer and in working condition, relatively clean, and the laundromat isn't too busy. read more
