It's a really cool effect, don't get me wrong, but it almost feels like they crashed into each other. The library is full of books, both in the old and new sides. The front (even though parking is on the side and in back) looks beautiful and houses work computers. In October, they had a find the Snoopy game, which was delightful! I got a book mark prize, it was Halloween-tastic!

The library itself has plenty of parking, and is divided in two with the desk in the middle. It's well decorated with art completed by patrons on the desk. The library is also an attractive space where there are always people reading and sometimes doing picture puzzles. Oh, and the staff are always ready to help those of us less skilled in using the search system on the computers. All in all, a great place and a great staff.

I love this library because they have a lot of books that I like to read as well as cool events…read morelike art exhibits and book sales. The biggest pro is that they have an ongoing bookstore inside the library that the Friends Of The Library own and they're open on Tuesdays and Saturday mornings. There's also a free book section in the lobby as well. There's some cool monthly book displays as well as self-checkout station, scanner, chairs to sit, computers, clipping seed display and many more. There's also a really nice Children's room. The librarians are really nice people and they're helpful. The library services are exceptional.

Love this place! I do a LOT of reading, and I like actual books, so I'm here minimum of once /…read moreweek. Plus there are computers, movies, newspapers.... The new director, Lois, is a vet and well-credentialed. She's instituted some positive and fun changes in a short amount of time. Taken down most of the plexiglass erected during COVID, allowed staff to be creative (see pic on book return slot, as one example), brought back newspapers, is bringing back game night, to name a few of the many recent things. Staff is always helpful and friendly. And check out the pic of this week's cool message. I didn't snap last week's, which was: Dinosaurs didn't read Dinosaurs are extinct Coincidence?? Anyway, a great asset to the town 5 stars

They…read morehave a one way entrance and exit that loops around the building, with the entrance to the interior on the right-hand side from the parking lot. They don't have a large physical footprint but seem to have a ample supply of books, and a cute play area for children. They have a lot of Board Games to choose from as well. There's Media Room exclusive for a lot of movies they have on DVD and Blu-Ray. There's nice people working at the library as well. However... The library is not suitable for expansion but unfortunately the library is really overgrown and have barely any more space for most books to shelve. Bookshelves are cramped as well resulting in so many books withdrawn yearly (there is a basement for more storage of books but unfortunately not enough space for more books as well.). The good news is voters approved the deal that would move the library to a brand new building where Webster Bank currently is down the street (the Webster Bank will be relocated to another property and its building will be demolished for new library construction). The Cheney Library building will still be there once the library moves out of that building once the new library building is complete within the next few years or so.

Donated from different walks of life the library does well to ensure eveything is there for your fun time ahead. You can borrow the games up to 3 weeks and they even added in renewals which is a nice feature. The only thing is that the games have to be returned while the library is open and sadly here is the only place that carry an extensive selection but hope that others hop on. Do you part and support the local library and try a free new game before purchasing or having a great time. With so many games for so many different type of people and groups drop by and see what they have.

Windsor Public Library came into fruition in 1888. It opened to the public in 1889; in 1901, it…read moremoved to a new location. The location was home to a General and it was originally built in 1777. It's a large and beautiful library with plenty of parking. My children and I explored the ginormous children's room. There was a computer area, a train table, a puppet area, a toy kitchen, blocks, and games. There were plenty of places to sit. I love that they have self checkouts. The librarians were friendly. I've said it before and I'll say it again and again; the library is a great resource! It has events, programs, museum passes, and more. My children and I are library fans. Overall, it's definitely up there with one of my favorite libraries.
