I had to take my two guinea pigs to the vet because they needed a routine check up. Doctor Hall did an amazing job checking their teeth, weight, ears, etc...! The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is because it was very expensive! $155 for checkups and nail trims! That is the only complaint that I have. Even though it was slightly pricey I will be taking my piggies back here! I think it is very worth the price! read more

Awful experience, hire people who actually know what their doing so more pets don't die. Took my kitten in Nova 6/20/2024 Dr.Krupsky was her "VET" sad excuse for one I think she may need to go back to the university. Anyway we came in to the vet due to her not feeling well the past 2 days, she had an incident with a dog where she had gotten bit in her lower abdomen. She told me she had an abscess that it was not that much of a concern. She took her temp and she was at 106 Wich is life threatening. She took no immediate action to help her. I also told her that she hasn't ate or drank anything in the past two days and they did nothing. No Ivs to renourish her nothing. She was clearly dehydrated due to the heat this week. But they didn't care. All they wanted is money they took exrays of her and a catogram I believe (scan of the lungs). I heard nova crying in the room with them as they were laughing. She came back with a little blood it looked like on a towel they had drained a little bit of the fluid in the abscess to see what it was. But all that did was make it bigger. They prescribed antibiotics for me to take home. They never said that she was in immediate danger. She died in my arms that night, there was nothing I could do I tried giving her CPR for a half an hour. The nearest vet was an hour and a half away and I was too late. I went In the next day obviously furious, the receptionist brought out the practice manager whatever that is. She brought me to a back room away from clients so they wouldn't know how poor of a job they did. I told told her everything that transpired the day prior. And told her that the doc had failed her. She proceeded to say and argue with me that it was not their fault and it wasn't their problem. " She could of died from something else, not related to the injury" No I'm pretty sure I knew if my cat was healthy or not before the incident you dumb fuck. She then proceeded to say you know this how "because of your vet degree" No sympathy at all for nova or accountability PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY AND THATS IT. Was all about keeping the money coming. Had sick cat, tried to tell them was sick with same symptoms prior given antibiotic that cured all illness. Then within 4 days it started coming back. I know from medical experience that sometimes a antibiotic is needed for a longer period. They refused to do that without another office visit and a stool test for worms when he had already been checked for worms and has been on resolution which would take care of but, he didn't have any. Obvious SOME of the reception workers are unwilling to do their job to cure problems and know facts before speaking with vet. For a simple question and offering facts I received a argumentive excuses to why I needed same tests repeated when were negative 10 days prior. I've since found a new vet the problem cured with one visit not 3. Very displeased. I feel as if needless visits and pushing many tests at once all just keep the money coming. For people on a limited income keeping the cost down to one priority at a time would be helpful. Not every one can afford over 300 for every visit, With shelters overloaded, vet enormous costs and pushing more and more tests not needed because of recent same tests done.... I feel it's all about the money flow instead of helping the pet to heal as soon as possible. Shelters, vets, sanctuaries,fosters should all work together to keep the population and health care DOABLE. read more

Beware of this veterinary office. They do not look out for your animal, they only look out for their own pocketbook. I posted this message on Facebook and they blocked me. I took my 6 year old Shih Tzu in for teeth cleaning at a cost of $300. After the cleaning, the vet told me he needed 2 teeth pulled immediately, and another 10 to 15 SHOULD be pulled. The cost for the 2 teeth to be pulled...$400. Instead of getting pre approval, and pulling them when he was under anesthesia for the teeth cleaning, they wanted me to come back 2 weeks later and put him under anesthesia again. I checked with a lot of vets and other people and they said they would pull the teeth while he was under for teeth cleaning. Beware of this service; they only want your pocketbook!!! read more

They're probably fine for administering care based on a recommended schedule however if anything out of the ordinary comes up stay away. Our beloved cat suffered neck trauma and was choking. The vet at Hall vet clinic decided to focus on belly pain, which was not even a symptom. They injected him with fluids, which they admitted that "he didn't like that, he kicked the needle out." Our cat did not improve and we returned a few days later to express this concern. He was now running a fever showing signs of an infection. They seemed baffled and suggested he may require exploratory surgery. Seriously, second visit lets jump right to cutting the cat open? We decided to get a second opinion. The second vet did a much more thorough examination of the cat, pinpointing exactly where he was experiencing pain and spoke to us like we knew our cat, not that he was the vet and knew best, like Hall vet did. We were advised that the pain medication dose was on the very low end for the size of our cat and also he had an infection of some sort most likely resulting from Hall vet reinserting the IV needle that the cat kicked out without cleaning it / changing it. After performing another set of X-Rays (looking at the neck trauma area this time rather than the stomach that Hall vet did) it was determined nothing was broken but there was a fair amount of soft tissue damage that would be very painful for our cat. All we could do was let things heal however we were given an appropriate dose of pain meds for our cats size so he could be comfortable in recovery. He was also treated for the unknown infection. Our cat was at least comfortable now being on an appropriate pain medication dose. He gradually improved over the next couple weeks. We did notice there was a painful area and a lump on him which was in the area of where Hall vet injected the fluids on his first visit. A couple days later this lump ruptured and oozed pus and liquid, leaving a hole on his back. Interestingly enough our cat responded to this draining positively like his pain was gone, he returned to normal, with the exception of the hole on his back that needed to heal. We cleaned the hole out, put antibiotic cream on it while it healed. It is now closed and healed over. Our cat does not mind being touched there, or anywhere now, so we know it doesn't hurt him. Bottom line, our cat initially suffered a trauma to the neck area that resulted in soft tissue damage. There was nothing that could have been done except make him comfortable and allow it to heal. He should have been treated with an appropriate dose of pain medication to make him comfortable while he healed. What actually happened, Hall vet gave him the adult human equivalent of a children's Tylenol to ease the pain. They introduced a secondary infection from the reinsertion of a dirty IV needle causing him to get even worse. They were focusing on him having a belly ache, which never was a concern voiced by us, rather than his choking and neck pain. They spoke to us like they knew our pet better than we did. Now I'm stuck with 2 bills for Hall vet for doing nothing but making my cat miserable and more ill. Look elsewhere. There are better options out there. read more

Hall vet is amazing, they really care about your animals and the prices were not bad. I have 4 dogs, one has bad teeth and is mean. One has cancer, and 2 are normal crazy puppies. I can not imagine going to anyone else, I have used 4 different offices, 3 in town and MSU in Lansing, hall is by far the best and most caring. read more
