Pretty good American burgers and good kebab with nice outdoor seating in lovely Sundbyberg.

Especially if you're in the mood for steak. They have everything from a "ladies" (200g) to a "Bigass"(500g) entrecôte, New york cut Striploin in various sizes, lamb, surf & turf and whole lobster tail. Along with variations of hamburgers, ribs, chili, nachos, and fajitas .. something for everyone. My absolute favourite dish is the "Texas Chili", it's unbeatable. It's a traditional chili, served with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, black beans and wheat tortilla bread. The "Ugly American" is the only burger I've tried, it's a 220 g hamburger with bacon, served with coleslaw, chipotle drip and fries. You're absolutely stuffed when you've finished your meal. In Sundbyberg the restaurant is newly renovated, they have changed the decor on the walls and repainted, while also adding some tables by the bar. You cannot reserve a table though, but the wait is usually not that bad. It's a small restaurant so choose your seating wisely if you can. We sat right next to the window, which can be nice in the winter time. But in the summer, with the sun blasting in, it was quite unbearable. Since the restaurant is so small, it gets very hot when all the grills are fired up in the back kitchen. I really like that all beer and soda comes in the chilled Texas Longhorn glasses, and that the staff is nice and friendly. Definitely a place to visit, again and again.

As a guy who spends weekend smoking brisket and pork butts, getting BBQ out is usually disappointing in the states, let alone Sweden. I was either very homesick or super curious about what Swedish BBQ would be like. In hindsight it was a little of both. Ordered a cocktail and the BBQ sampler. Cocktail was fine. The menu is littered with sweet cocktails like many restaurants. Was hoping for something boozy but that's not to be found. The sampler was good overall. Portions were sufficient but certainly small by American standards. Not sure that's the appropriate frame of reference but it is smaller. Highlights/ Lowlights - let's start with the key differentiator of good BBQ, brisket. The brisket had good bark and was smokey but no smoke ring makes me think it was liquid smoke. It was cooked well but a cardinal sin was committed. The brisket was cut in the wrong direction making it stringy. - variety of sides and veggies were nice. Pickled items were good. Potato salad was unevenly cooked. - cornbread tasted good but fell apart in the hand -BBQ sauce and chipotle sauce were nice. BBQ didn't quite fall into Texas or KC style. It was thick but had a sweet and sour taste. Not bad but not Texas. - ribs were rough. Short little ribs that were over cooked. They weren't baby back. Just the small end of spare ribs. Or maybe they were cut. - fried chicken was good. It was thigh meat cut away from the bone. Tasted good but if you're looking for a traditional fried chicken, you'll be disappointed. - sausage was actually the highlight of the whole meal. It had a crispy skin and good flavor. Was almost like a Chinese sausage. All in all a good experience. Not the best BBQ in the world but certainly good for being in a Nordic country. Would recommend it if you keep and open mind about where you are.

This bar/restaurant offered me a small piece of Austin during my travels. I can say I didn't eat here because I typically avoid American dining while traveling aboard. My husband and I did, however, enjoy a drink so we could take in the Austin scenery. My husband ordered a Texas Amber beer and I ordered a local cider. Overall a cool place and would recommend all to check it out.

I've long heard about Phil's Burger being one of the best in Stockholm, up there with Prime and Flippin'. I completely disagree. This burger wasn't bad at all. It wasn't offensive. It wasn't too small or tasteless. It just didn't have that *WOW* factor that I look for. I got the Phil's limited, which contained some sort of BBQ onion chutney, bacon, cheese, mayonnaise, and pickles. Lots and lots of pickles (the saltgurka kind, not the yummy dill kind). The patty was pleasantly thick. It was juicy and well seasoned. Another plus was that the bread was nice and soft and I was able to get everything in one bite. They didn't skimp on the bacon which I appreciated. The pickles though- how many damn pickles can one burger contain? 7? 10? My very last bite unfortunately had a stack of about 3 pickles which ruined it for me. So unnecessary. The fries were very average and they have bearnaise to dip; I welcome bea with open arms. Overall I had a good experience. I was very full and the prices were not extravagant. Will I go again? No, don't think so. I really don't feel the urge. With so many amazing burger places in the city, there's no need to.

I knew something was off when they didn't have a burger with bacon on it. So I ordered one with cheese but with two burger patties. My sister ordered a regular. We were almost alone in the place when we ordered and still the food was slow (although not unacceptably slow). Food came out and it was packaged in quite a unique manner (fries in a bag, burger in a sideways bag) which of course made it memorable in its own way. However, my sister realized after eating half of her burger that she was eating mine (the double). So apparently, without asking, they had given the 5' girl the double burger and the 6' guy the regular - way to avoid gender stereotyping! But seriously, they couldn't have asked "which one of you ordered the double?" when they came out with the food? Not a single one of our combined three burger patties were pink in the middle, so they clearly don't know how burgers should be cooked. Cardinal sin right there. The bread buns were pale - in fact so pale I found it less appetizing. Are they even done in the oven before they take them out? Of this is a "thing" I'm missing the point. Fries were unique but not in a particularly good way - they are generously seasoned which I like, but the potato strips are so thin that the frying procedure have shriveled them up completely. A quarter of the content in the bag of fries is just small, leftover pieces of potatoes that have been so aggressively fried that they're completely inedible. You can feel yourself getting cancer as you force yourself to try it. All in all, not a good burger experience - not at all. I would come back under gunpoint. Maybe.

I really don't like this place at all but I guess I can't rate them lower than 3 stars…read morerealistically. This place is pretty large and they have the largest screen array I have ever seen but it's all a bit awkward. The table we were at made it difficult to watch the game and feel like we were in a social environment with the rest of our table. The only TV we could really see was the huge array so we all had to turn with our backs to each other. Places like Allstar don't have such huge TVs but they have way more options for different angles to watch the game. The chicken quesadillas were miserably small for 130kr. They were tasty enough though. They often stay open late for big games -- probably not just Boston sports but I was there till 2 or 2:30am one Sunday night to watch a New England Patriots playoff game. So I'm happy there is an option for that here. OBS! They charge like 55kr for a fountain soda. Ridiculous. There is also a bowling alley, arcade, billiards, and stadium seating for a giant projection screen here. Some of it can be a nice distraction while you are waiting for a game or celebrating a win. I guess. Being a Boston native there is something about selling our sports heritage in a country where none of the waitresses would have a clue about anything they are claiming to be about. Anyone from the States knows how seriously we take our sports and you would never walk into a Boston sports bar and not be able to joke with your waitress about a recent game or how so and so is playing. And the walls are literally lined with Boston sports memorabilia. It's a conflict ... kind of cool to see and also strikes a nerve.
