This is a great farmers market in Hamilton on Sunday mornings. It's located toward the back of the Claudelands Arena area. There are a lot of things I love about this place. There is a playground within walking distance, so I can do some browsing an shopping while my husband takes the kids for a run.
There are some coffee stands at the market, so you can show up bright and early at 8:00, pick-up a coffee and get to shopping. Some stalls only take cash, so it helps to brings some. But if you've forgotten, there is an EFTPOS cash-out area where you can get some. Many vendors to accept EFTPOS anyway (but I haven't seen any that take credit cards yet). If you haven't had breakfast, you can pick-up some pastries or other morning goodies, a smoothie or some blueberry ice cream (I'm sure it is a healthy breakfast option).
In addition to produce, there are also vendors selling cakes/pastries, fresh/smoked fish, pies, and a handful of craft vendors. There are often two musical acts playing (one inside the barn and one outside). So far, my favorite vendor is Soggy Bottom meats. Absolutely hands down some of the best sausages I've ever had. They also have mince, burgers, pies and often, a long line because everyone knows about this local gem.
