I went to Dr Glassman for a bulging disk that was pressing against by nerve, causing tremendous pain down my entire leg and foot. After trying physical therapy for months, cortisone shots in my back for four months, and living with this pain for almost a year, I decided to try "Spinal Decompression". The 1st on the table, I felt started feeling relief. The treatment does take 15 - 20 sessions. I now feel absolutely no pain at all, am now able to get a good night sleep and am working out again. The reviews looked amazing and i was excited about moving to the area and finding a new care giver. Unfortunately, when I called to set a new patient appointment, I was told I couldn't get in for 2 weeks. If this was just an oil change on my car, that would be fine. Dr. Glassman is wonderful! He's technically outstanding, highly knowledgeable, and a very caring healer. He's also a character, and perhaps the most positive person I've ever met. I've had bad experiences over the years with chiropractors who tried to hook me as an ongoing customer by not providing the pain relief I needed without first doing several visits. Dr. Glassman is completely the opposite. He treats the problem immediately and places no pressure on you to return. You go back to see him because he's got the magic, and his charges are very fair. He did me a tremendous favor. I have had back problems for 40 years. He took an xray on my first visit and told me that my back really looked bad. He said I needed an MRI. I told him I had Kaiser insurance, and they had danced me around for years with muscle relaxants and physical therapy, but I had never been able to convince them to do an MRI. He said that he could help me with the pain, but that the relief would only be temporary, and that I probably needed surgery. I said that if I went to Kaiser now, they would start with muscle relaxants and therapy again, and it would take a year to get an MRI. He then recommended that I pay for an MRI myself, and gave me the address of a place where they would do an MRI and a complete doctor's report for a very reasonable price. I think that was the best single piece of advice I ever received from a medical professional. When I took the MRI results to him, he said that surgery was strongly indicated, and that I should not settle for an orthopedic referral, but demand a neurosurgeon who specialized in spinal surgery. I took the MRI to my Kaiser physician, who was horrified. She said, "Why didn't you ever tell me your symptoms were this bad?" She agreed immediately with my request for a neurosurgeon, and referred me to an excellent one in Athens who saw the MRI and immediately scheduled me for surgery. I had the surgery two months later and about 90% of my pain went away immediately. What amazed me about Dr. Glassman is that he cared much more about getting my back problem fixed than making money off of it. He's so good that he doesn't need to play games to keep customers. With 40 years of back pain, I've seen lots of chiropractors, and I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewers who say that he's the best they've ever seen. read more

Love Dr. Glassman! The nicest and most personable man I have ever met. It's so easy to get same-day appointments. If you go in for an adjustment you also get to lay on either a massage water table if you want and/or do e-stim to help loosen up your back. Good afternoon. My name is Mark Stevenson. I am almost 62 years old. I have been a pastor most my life. I was diagnosed with asthma as a small child. I have struggled with breathing and functioning as a "normal" person all my life. When I was younger and healthier, I played many different types of sports and stayed somewhat functional, as an asthmatic. Over the years my asthma has gotten worse as I have gotten older and gained weight and become more inactive. To make a long story short, the last few years have been the worst. I am 5'7" and I weighed 275 pounds. I have taken increasingly more medications to cope with my worsening asthma. I have been in and out of the hospital a number of times, especially in the last couple of years. I now take in excess of 10 medications daily for asthma, sugar diabetes and high blood pressure to the tune of over $1,500 a month for medications. I also have sleep apnea. This last April I had such a strong episode with my asthma I thought I was going to have to go back into the hospital for the third time. What I really felt like was that I was going to die. The sad part was that I began to think that might be the better reality than the quality of life I now had with being so unable to breath and control my asthma. Then a friend of ours talked to us about a doctor named Rabia Vaughns, at the Hamilton Mill Complete Family Care, who had help her with some hormone issues. My life Suzy, was the first to go. I went with her, even though my asthma was out o control. What Rabia has done for Suzy is another story which I hope she will share with you as well. I was impressed by how she handled Suzy's issues so I made an appointment to see Dr. Vaughns myself. I soon learned through the medical expertise of Dr. Vaughns, the blood tests, and the food Dr. Vaughns identified that I would need to remove from my diet (dairy products, glutten and sugar), I began to address the root causes of the issues I had, including my asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure. This is now the middle of October and there are many things I could share with you about Dr. Vaughns and what she has helped me to achieve but let me highlight a few. Within 6 weeks my asthma was under control. For my last three visits to my pulmonologist, my lungs have been completely clear. I have since lost 40 pounds and feel healthier than I have in twenty years. Say what you will, I feel like I have experienced a personal miracle. I was given a new life, one where I can freely breathe the air and enjoy life again. My diabetes and my high blood pressure is now under control and I sleep so much better at night. Let me say this in closing. I have found Dr. Vaughns (Rabia) to be a knowledgeable, compassionate and caring physician and person. What she has is not just a medical practice but a passion for life and health. I will never be able to thank her enough for this new life I have been given. When I see her we high five and celebrate our wins. I know I must do my part, make the right decisions about eating and exercise but those are small prices to pay for the quality of life I now enjoy. Who wants to be sick? Not this lady! I spend the last 15 years in endless specialists offices, including Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, FL with no improvement in my health. I sought out functional medicine doctors, internist, chiropractors, you name it I've seen them and more thank likely paid their children's college tuition. Needless to say the last thing I wanted was to see another "doctor" per say. One night I was having difficulty breathing and prayed over my reluctance to see yet another "doctor" when I recalled speaking with my neighbor who happened to be into functional medicine. I thought well, Lord if this is you I need a clear sign. I am either "crazy in the head" or there is something very wrong with me physically. So, I made an appointment and off I went.. I arrived and to my surprise every single person from the front desk to the nursing staff was a breath of fresh air. Then, there was the dreaded doctor.. It goes without saying I am blessed to have had Rabia as my attending physician while in Buford, GA and I will deeply miss her knowledge, laughter, and friendship. As God had it planned all along, Rabia diagnosed me with Lyme Disease six months before we were to be relocated to another state. Timing truly is everything!
