My primary care physician kept wanting to send me to an orthopedic surgeon, but the orthopedic surgeon would just say that I definitely didn't need surgery, so I must be healthy and not have a problem. After a number of iterations of this and other similar loops, I had two different doctors independently suggest Dr. Rudin as someone who's good at figuring out hard problems and actually willing to take the time to do so. Those recommendations were spot on. Dr. Rudin was very helpful! The biggest downside for me was that Dr. Rudin is incredibly busy, so there was a long wait to see him.

He explained everything so well and insisted that Mary spend the night - which was a good thing since we are from out of town (on vacation) and it was the middle of the night. Today we went to Mary's orthopedic dr. in St. Louis at Children's Hospital (one of the best pediatric hospitals in the country). They confirmed that Dr. Knavel did a great job -- her bones are in good position to heal and the cast was expertly done. Many of ths staff at Mercy Walworth confided in us that Dr. Knavel was the best orthopedic specialist that we could hope for - and they were right. Thank you Dr. Knavel! I had a great experience with OAW when I needed hand surgery. However, I was recently in to see Dr…read more Zhu for an evaluation of my Achilles tendon and it was not good. Dr. Zhu came in and asked me what he could do for me. Did he even read my chart? what's with the play stupid? I told him and he did a simple Thompson Test and said my tendon is ruptured. It would be 6-8 weeks in a boot and then maybe PT. MRI? nope. I am older and I understand the risks of surgery and he would not do that. I'm OK with that. It was basically, I'm wasting his time. He could be making more money if someone would come in for surgery. I finally got an MRI from outside OAW and guess what? it wasn't ruptured. There was a tear and I did have to wear a boot. But, everything was intact and not a detachment. I saw an Ortho doc that cared, explained everything very well, and prescribed a PT plan that put me on a path to healing. I do not recommend seeing Dr. Zhu.

Then, completely unexpectedly, we received notice from an attorney claiming there was an unpaid balance. We were told they had previously attempted to collect the debt, but we had never received a phone call, email, letter, or any other communication from them. Because the situation came out of nowhere after so many years, we initially thought it might be a scam. We requested documentation showing the debt and copies of the alleged prior correspondence. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide the documentation we requested. Before we even had an opportunity to fully research the situation or understand what was happening, legal action was already being pursued and I was served. Regardless of how this ultimately gets resolved, the way this has been handled has been extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend doing your research and keeping very thorough records if you choose to do business with this organization. Our experience has left us with serious concerns about their billing and communication practices, and we would not choose to use them again

The Orthopedic Doctor did not even believe me, he thought I was one of those people looking for pain medication. I never even asked for any. Finally, He relented to an MRI. This two months later. No apologies, He said to go to physical therapy. I had a torn rotator cuff. And a A.C injury. It would lead to major surgery. My first day of physical therapy, she took may froze arm and yanked it skyward. I came close to passing out. I never went back. I eventually taught myself to get my own arm to work again. But the pain was still there. I heard ads for QC Kinetix and eventually, my husband and I decided to try them. I am on my last treatment. I would have had to give up my job without them. I am completely pain free. The thing is you have to do the exercises! I am very driven to not have this horrible pain. You are part of a team with them. I can sleep on my sides now. Saw Dr. Brna a few years ago for a broken tailbone - he was great…read more Went there today b/c I thought I had a sprained my ankle on Saturday night, but by today it wasn't black & blue but still way painful. I called at 8:10 this morning and was able to get for a 2:00 app. with Dr. Vora (he had a cancellation). Got there and they had me in the exam room within 5 mins. Saw how they worked the place and it was like a well-oiled machine. IN AND OUT. Found out I didn't have a sprain, but a torn Achilles tendon. He was was cool... didin't send me for expensive tests, knew what he was doing, gave me a boot cast and prescription for meds and told me to stay off it for a week. No frills nice guy, and to the point..........couldn't ask for anything more. GREAT bedside manner............WAY COOL GUY.
