Absolutely bizarre experience taking my 81 year old mother in for a low battery pace maker appointment. This battery deficiency of her pace maker was identified after she had a mini stroke two months earlier. Dr Zukoff, first off made us wait for 30 minutes (which I understand if things get backed up) But he came in completely unaware about my mother's condition. He was winging the appointment with not a clue what she was there for. He came into the appointment cold and proceeded to pelt my mother w passive aggressive questions and wouldn't listen to me when I tried to help her out answering. As my very "sharp" mother said, "he came into the room ripe for an argument". He is UNSTABLE!. We had patience w him for 20-30 minutes of the appointment until I had had enough of his unprofessional comments. My mom asked if her pace maker seemed unusually large and his answer was "well you're skinny". He also flippantly was reading through her paperwork and just bluntly says "you have a weak heart". Who says that to an 81 year old? Anyway, we are going to another doctor. We walked out of his office but I did tell him "his bedside manner was disgusting".I heard him talking to nurses before the appointment which sounded harsh. He's new to this practice at Brendand Mullholland's IMA. He may need to find another practice to bounce to bc it seems like he moves frequently. The look on the nurses faces when we walked out said it all. I felt like they were giving me a high five with their eyes.
