This is the most terrifying place that I have ever had to stay. Thank God that I was there short term and I had local, outspoken family. Show up unannounced! Don't let them speak for your family member! Check when they were fed or bathed and pray that they never need the physical therapy room. I still have nightmares to this day. read more

Reception, aides, nurses all great. Social worker and Unit Nurse are excellent. Administration was needlessly rude. I called for a status update on a Medicaid/guardianship issue. My brother has been there for about 10 months. They have done nothing. Want full freight from his assets. Once he has a guardian and Medicaid they'll get less. Cannot close an estate until this is resolved. Heirs waiting all this time. Always the same, follow the money. Wonder what owners and admin get paid compared to the employees who smile and work hard every day to provide good care. Very sad.​ read more

This place should be closed! The staff doesn't do their job. Patients are left in filthy diapers for hours. Sometimes not fed even though the food isn't worth eating. When you call they leave you on hold then hang up the phone. I could go on and on the state has been there but nothing's done. Shame on you.... read more

It is beyond comprehension how this place is still open ! The aids and nursing staff hide behind their phones all day long . Why doesn't the administrator fire them ? When you ask a question they do not answer you because they are too busy disassociating from their job ! My loved ones care is below standards for even a dog ! The room stinks, her clothes are always lost , the food is not edible and the place overall is just dark and disgusting !!! Close the doors or spruce up the place . The filthiest place I've ever seen... dismissive staff.. ceilings stained ... I couldn't get my mother out of there fast enough...

Me and mother worked there as dietary aide employees last month and overall it wasn't bad. The residents were amazing but when they made budget cuts they kept all the employees that didn't do much work/left their work for the others and walked around doing nothing or talking. Equipment was either always breaking or poorly repaired, cockroaches absolutely everywhere!, nurses coming in the kitchen when they're not allowed too due to sanitation regulations, low inventory stock, repair work all over the place and again lazy other employees shoving their work load on others to laze about. read more

It's a disgusting, dark & dirty facility. The only option was this place for my grandmother when she was on hospice. They left her in the hallway with no one for God knows how long before I arrived and found her there. She was incoherent & unattended, hunched over in a wheelchair with no belt to secure her. The lack of empathy these people had was awful. The bathroom was dirty, the rooms are very outdated so much so it had more of a prison vibe to it than a health facility. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! I'm only leave one star because it's required. No stars should be an option. read more

Director or Nursing is never on the floor or asking the residents how the facility could be improved. Administrator seemed great during orientation, he seemed to truly care about the place. Not long after I realized it was all a front.No one cares in this place, except for a few aides and 1 or 2 nurses. Most of the staff are under educated certificate nurses, staff are unable to properly diagnose a resident with an impeding illness and most things get missed. If you want your loved one to die, send them there. The cafeteria looks as if it's in a third world country. The food sometimes is delivered ROTTEN. Instead of a salad, residents receive a tbsp of old iceberg lettuce. It's a shame that they have to take the chance of getting sick by eating the food in order to survive. I have a great idea, let's see the DON or administrator eat the food. I have witnessed live roaches crawling on patients in a vegetative state, as well as in the patient rooms. No one in this place receives the daily amount of care needed in order to have a good quality of life. Some aides often double diaper in order to make their lives easier. Come to the place around ten at night and you will find most of the staff smoking weed outside. Sure, some staff care, but they continue their employment there. In my eyes, if you aren't part of the solution then your part of the problem. It kind of makes you wonder, how could a facility such as this one get past inspection? Money maybe? read more

Hammonton Center is a place of many words and none of them good. You can't begin to explain how many wounds fo uncared for on a daily basis. The facility is dirty with roaches and bedbugs. There's never enough linens to give every resident a bath or wash up let alone change their sheets every day even when necessary. The food shouldn't be considered meals. While it's understandable that during covid there aren't any activities it's not acceptable that residents are cooped up in their rooms or only go as far as the nurses station. The administrator is an incredibly personable man however it's all fake. The ADON is a nice woman but seems to be held back from doing what she wants to do instead. The DON is always in the conference room or her office never to be seen. HR has stolen hours of pay from their employees and expect the staff to still give the same effort. I wouldn't put someone already dead there let alone a living loved one. read more
