They said they offered and the dinner meal, which ended up being subpar, child sized portions of the main entrée, some your choices were a sandwich or another kind of sandwich the only meal I enjoyed was Sunday brunch with their great omelette station. was the only meal of Sunday. And bingo and other activities like cornhole, Or horse racing were fun, but No one really participated in the other things offered There's a beautiful pool table in there that nobody ever uses. So I am now in a bigger apartment with rent half of what I paid there. see my Review under The Fountains at Cedar Parke. This facility is under new ownership and the new name is Allegria at the Fountains. Very pleased with the 8 years care my mother has received. Very caring staff doctor, and nursing (always present). Good liason with Jenn Ridgeway a Director and Andrea for ironing out any small issues. They are presently remodeling. Nice features are Bistro, Beauty Salon, Library, and walking trail around the buildings perimeter. Good activities for residents. MY mother is doing well and I am pleased with her care. read more

My mother has lived at Allegria for 9 months and can't wait to move out. she says she feels like she lives in a slum. The residents hate the food and the facilities are falling apart. The property manager provides lip service about when repairs or improvements are going to happen. The carpets are torn, bumpy and taped. Pond is full of trash. The gazebo has caution tape around it. Her elevator has been broken for 9 days and still not fixed Go in the front door and it looks beautiful but the farther away from the front you go, the worse it gets. read more

My MIL was here. Horrible care. We had to move her to another facility. I caught the caretakers complaining that she was ringing a bell they gave her to ask for help. She fell and was on blood thinners and they did not take her to the hospital. I do not recommend this place. read more

BEWARE of the rehab section. The patients are neglected, and they put violent dementia patients in with long-term care patients that cannot protect themselves.. This company does not the patients or the families it's just about money. Patient will lay in bed almost 24 hours sometimes with feces and urine because the nurse aids refuse to change them.As far cleanliness goes it is filthy and disgusting. sometimes the patients aren't checked on for hours upon hours upon hours.Please if you need your loved one place somewhere else do your research and go somewhere else read more

My mother has been there for 7 months. It has not worked out for her. The people who work there are mostly nice. The residents are open and friendly. The independent-living apartment was fine, although we had a few days of no air conditioning during a heat wave where it was 82 in her apartment. There are a few serious problems which is why she has asked to move elsewhere. 1. The food quality is not good. There are limited choices and the quality is very poor. Most items are either fried or very over-cooked. Most items are presented with a heavy dose of sauce. There is no catering to folks who need a more plain diet. We have complained at least 3 times to no avail. It has been detrimental to her health. We buy and prepare food for her now. 2. The facility has issues, like old and torn carpets. The whole place needs a "refresh". Management told us 6 months ago that new carpet and paint were scheduled soon. Nothing has happened. 3. There is a lack of access to "a little extra help", i.e. no available health care on site. read more

Mom ( a vibrant 92 year old)loves living here. However since new owners took over in January, the food has become a major issue. The menu is limited and the food is overcooked and unappetizing. Residents can't even order the meal without sauce or to their liking. Mom has had numerous stomach problems since the new owners arrived and has now begun to go hungry rather than risking eating some of the meals. My father has resided in this facility for 5 years in Independent Living. He transferred to Assisted Living in November, 2023. This facility is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and his apartment is lovely. The transition to Assisted Living went well primarily due to a wonderful, caring and knowledgable Marketing Director, Jenna McGrail. She is genuine, kind, professional and efficient. Jenna is willing to help anyone, whether or not it is in her job description. Jenna has the ability to connect with people and make them feel comfortable and secure. She goes above and beyond each and every day. Jenna should be the template for all employees at Allegria at the Fountains. I know I can count on Jenna and so does my father. We are both so grateful for Jenna! read more

The rehab section is a hellhole. Can't speak for any other section but in the rehab, my father was neglected. Roomed with a dementia patient, which are in with regular rehab patients, which can be pretty jarring for them. My fathers roommate would scream all night, he was barely able to sleep and the refused to move him or the roommate. He wasn't showered for 4 months. He was never changed, he'd sit for hours in his feces. The floors are always sticky and gross. The food is beyond awful- a cold hot dog for lunch, a slice of deli turkey on white bread soaked in gravy for dinner... the aides don't talk to the patients, only to each other or on the phone. There's no communication with family, or between departments. My father was experiencing nonstop diarrhea to the point that I booked him an appt with a gastroenterologist- only to find out the facility was giving him 3 laxatives a day. He lost out on so much rehab right after a stroke because of this oversight, and they would not restart it after it was finally figured out. He was often dehydrated. The nurses blamed the doc, doc blamed the nurses, office blamed both. I can't imagine what other medical mismanagement goes on there. Run far, far away from this rehab. I'd give one star but I'm giving a second star strictly for the activities woman on the floor- she absolutely tried her hardest and I appreciate that effort because some of these patients have no one. read more

I was visiting my grandmother which I try to a lot and one time the nurse on unit told my sister who's 32 that she is too old to have kids ... don't think my sister will ever forget that comment . I think they take decent care of the patients but it's hard to know because I'm not there all the time. It's also hard to trust what my Grandmom says because she's not all there in her head... Susan makes it very easy to set up visits so I'm grateful for that! They also do her hair which makes her very happy!!! I think it's hard to work at a place like this so I do give their employees credit. Also, they let us take our Grandmom out on Sunday's which is awesome ! ‼ read more

My mother recently entered the Memory care unit at the Fountains. Having had patients who were well cared for there over the years I knew this would be the perfect place. From the initial conversation with Jenna I knew I was making the best decision. The support and facilitation of the process was seamless. The staff on the floor where my mother is now living were supportive and engaging from the first moment. Kathy immediately made my mother feel welcome. It is the people who make the facility. My mom spent about a month at Fountains before passing away. She was in the rehabilitation wing of the facility. My mom had lung cancer and the staff had hoped to make her stronger for treatment, but sadly no. She received Samiratan Hospice service for a few days before she died. The staff was fantastic! Jen (nurse) was one of the most caring, efficient nurse I've encountered in a long time. She was great with my mom. Her Dr. Was great too (his name escapes me) Everyone on the staff took wonderful care of my mom. Thank you. read more

My Mother has been there 13 years. I originallypicked it because it was well maintained and huge so my parents would enjoy the surroundings and not get tired of it . What I didn't anticipate is how lovely the staff would be over these many years.
